You are either not a VOL fan or extremely negative! 8 and 5 with wins over Oregon and USC

Stupid statement of the day. And if you predict a down year for the stock market you aren't a true fan of economic prosperity or capitalism.

UT-Martin 31-14 W. It won't be pretty and Dooley will be glad they aren't playing an FBS opponent.

Oregon 38-14 L. Oregon is a top 20 team. Tennessee is maybe a top 50 team.

Florida 45-10 L. Brantley will make UT look worse than Tebow did.

UAB 28-17 W. Savor this one. It'll be some time before UT gets back in the win column.

at LSU 24-3 L. No QB+Inexperienced OL+Tiger Stadium=Beatdown.

at Georgia 21-10 L. Georgia isn't good, but they're better than UT.

Alabama 42-10 L. Get ready for another rendition of Rammer Jammer by the 35,000 Alabama fans in attendance.

at South Carolina 24-14 L. Spurrier's mediocre bunch extends the misery.

at Memphis 28-10 W. At last.

Ole Miss 21-17 W. The Rebs won't be very good this year.

at Vanderbilt 31-17 W. Neither will Vanderbilt.

Kentucky 24-21 W. I'm not picking Kentucky til they actually win one against UT.

Independence Bowl Who cares?

Wow. Amazing how much we are going to improve over the course of the year, rebounding from 2-6 to finish 4-0. Those guys must really want it, and Dooley sure can coach 'em up.

I'm pretty confident that Wilcox will have a better D than Monte, who IMO wasn't at all impressive.

I started to lay out a number of reason why I disagree with your post, but I won't, mainly because it won't do any good. Leave it to say that I don't know if we have a top notch defensive coordinator on staff this year. I do know that we had one last year.

It's a gamble that could pay off big, or really, really flop.

Agree with the predictions. Only other game I see winnable that you predicted as a loss is SC.

Yeah. Since outfighting your opponent has never gotten anyone anywhere in sports. I guess dennis rogan taking the ball from the future heisman winner twice on the same play was because he was physically stronger.

People always use this as ammo against Hat. Those same people must have missed the postgame report he did right after the EE game giving Pearl his props and commending his coaching last year

Yeah, he finally gave BP some credit after being one goal away from a Final Four appearance without Final Four talent on the team. That would constitute his liking of BP, NOT.

we might lose to georgia if you just. Base it on rivals recruiting rankings. But when you factor in the fact that they shake in the boots for when they play us wont allow them to be in the game

Yeah, they look scared to death as they were kicking UT's teeth in two years ago.

A large portion of our fan base don't seem to understand the reality of where the Tennessee program is today. They're living in the past and acting like it's the helmets and jerseys that win games, not the players in them.

I call that John Blake Syndrome. Already lived through it once. Looks like I get to do it again.

The state of the program right now is a hard thing for alot of us to handle.

And in all fairness, some fans seem to believe it's their sacred duty to lower everyone else's expectations and take the enjoyment out of being a fan.

Note: No team has ever been awarded a trophy for having the most reasonable fans.

I didn't say it made him like BP. He recognized his coaching ability to take team that didn't belong to being 2 seconds away from a FF. Pretty sure Hat's dislike for BP isn't about his coaching ability but rather his personality and past dirty deeds. (correct me if I'm wrong Hat)

I just want an SEC title so bad. I haven't seen one since becoming a fan. I want to see an SEC Title and wear a t-shirt that say Tennessee Volunteers 20_ SEC Champions. Man, hopefully Dooley can bring us one.

Analysis is just about worst case scenario...the only game that are not sure wins on that list are Ole Miss and Kentucky and they are both likely wins. UGA is in real trouble this year. If new DC they have is good they may survive year. If he stinks they may be like us or worse. That is a very winnable game for us as of now. Oregon is winnable as well due to Masoli mess and possible low morale of team. USCe is slightly better then us on paper now. It will be interesting to see where they are when we play them. If they are on a roll I agree that is a likely loss on the road. We have almost no shot of beating UF or Bama but crazy things do happen. LSU is a likely loss but would not be a miracle to beat them coaching staff has been terrible down there. They are obviously a couple notches ahead of us talent wise. It is not hard to see us at 8-4 but 6-6 is just as likely. It is a carbon copy of last year results wise. 5-7 would be seriously upsetting it probably means we lost to Kentucky gag.

That makes me feel much better.

when I crunched the numbers and realized you were off, I felt better too. i think when you made the prediction, you forgot about how stacked we are at rb and that our ol is probably going to be better than last year's because of all the talent.
