2010 Football Record predictions (merged)

Tennessee-Martin- WIN (Similar to the WK game last yr)

Oregon = LOSS (Top 5-10 team)

Florida = LOSS (Top 5-10 team)

UAB = WIN

@ LSU = LOSS (Very tough road game)

@ Georgia = WIN (Biggest win of year for Dooley)

Alabama = LOSS (Prob #1- #2 in nation at the point)

@ South Carolina = LOSS

Memphis = WIN

Mississippi = WIN (BIG win at home)

@ Vandy = WIN (as always)

Kentucky = WIN (close)

This is very optimistic. (7-5)

8-4 would be a incredible but not likely with our youth.

6-6 or 7-5. (Never thought I would be saying that lol)

sorry, last time I checked we signed 19 recruits in our last class. we stole Brown last year and you stole Rogers this year....so we're even. I haven't "downed" your team. just stating my opinion....and CMR has a winning record vs.UT.

Mark Richt may have a winning record against UT(for now), but the University of Georgia sure as hell doesn't.

I go into every season lookng at the schedule with the only real doubt in my mind being Florida. That being said, I honestly believe we have the talent here to go undefeated if we stayed healthy in our lines. I don't believe this will happen though so I'm leaning towards 10 and 2.

Ill give you 50/1 on us going undefeated.

5-4 overall doesn't look so impressive when you look back at the last 4 and see CMR & GA has gone 1-3 against some...let's say mediocre UT teams.

% wise, CMR record is eerily similar to CPF....the most meaningful difference is the VOLS won a NC with CPF but I don't EVER see GA winning one with CMR. Face it the new has worn off the CMR penny.

Damn....I feel the need to add my 2 cents now....I am so tired of hearing about AJ Green....How effective was he last Oct. 10th??? He wasn't hurt then either....Great receivers CAN be shut down. 2nd I live 30 miles from Athens and have met CMR on the golf course..He is a great man but he is mediocre. He is like most coaches UGA and UT have had the last 20 years= Can't seem to consistently beat BAMA and the gators.... That being said I think a Dooley beats UGA in Athens next year and I also think that if a Wilcox D can beat Oregon with 2*s I'm personally gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. Back to what superdawg said about new coaches and new systems.....Didnt we have all new coaches last year when we WAXED that A#!?? Pretty sure that was Kiff's first year and one of his first SEC games yet he found a way to beat the mighty CMR and the pups...

wowzers that was a rant

ok then let's break it down......you have a huge question @ QB. Your #1 RB (Brown) was anything but spectacular, you lose your starting TE.....(not sure who your calling your all-SEC caliber TE...no returning TE has a catch), your replacing 3-4 offensive linemen, you only have 1-2 reliable WR's with none of your incoming freshmen of AJ Green caliber....see Marlon Brown's freshman year...nothing is set in stone. And you think that changing coaching staffs and installing a completely new scheme on both sides of the ball won't be a problem.......comical. Were you born last night?

Don't worry Vol Fans, this is just the frustration of loosing to the lowly Vols coming out in this UGA fan.

(and this UUUGGGHHHAAA fan is an example why I hate UGA, it's certainly not because they are a real threat to lowly ole UT.)

If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch, and don't talk smack.

We don't have to talk smack, just fact.:)

Are we talking about the regular sized Vols, or the mini Vols? Mini Vols run the table by an aggregate score of 1,762-12.

one game doesn't define a season.....the 2009 Ga/Ut certainly didn't. ......unless your looking @ it from a fan's perspective. It was your biggest win of the yr. Neither of our seasons paralleled that game ....did it?

Two numbers for you, Cledus.....

45

and 19.

When GA wins again, you can strut and crow. Until then, maybe you might want to pop in on Vandy fans, and thump your chest there.

Thanks for stopping by.

Go Vols.

6-6 to 7-5, rash of injuries to key players, especially lineman could take us to 5-7. I think about the same even if Kiffin were still here. Kiffin would have likely finished with a better class that would have included Willis, Dixon, Green and Cullen and probably some others. But they'd all have been too young to help us much next year, it just would have made us more competitive in 2011 then we'll probably be now. I'm now expecting 2012 to be what I was expecting 2011 to be under Kiffin.

I'm not really worried about coaching and player development with this staff, I'm waiting to see how well they recruit with a full year to work with.

2010 SCHEDULE
Sept. 4 UT-Martin - W
Sept. 11 Oregon - L
Sept. 18 Florida - L
Sept. 25 UAB - W
Oct. 2 at LSU - L
Oct. 9 at Georgia - Toss Up
Oct. 23 Alabama - L
Oct. 30 at South Carolina - Toss Up
Nov. 6 at Memphis - W (though new coach for UM so who knows)
Nov. 13 Mississippi - Toss Up
Nov. 20 at Vanderbilt - W
Nov. 27 Kentucky - W
Dec. 4 SEC Championship (Atl.) - N/A

7-5 at best.

I say we go 0-12. We have an outside shot looking in of beating 2 teams I'd say, but only because they are as bad as us.
