Yeah, I remember him going down the middle. I just didn't know he moved to LB, bc I "checked out" most of this spring.

- but I do think its a fair criticism, I should know every single player.

Naw man, I was just messin with you because the "who is Austin Johnson" question has come up in every thread about him since his move to LB.

I'm pumped to see what Poole will do as a starter. He took advantage of every opportunity he was given the last couple years when he subbed in for our other backs. He runs hard, has good vision and can really pop a defender. I hope our OL can open up a lane or two for him.

Johnson looks to be about 250. Walls looks about 245 and is shorter than Johnson.. 2 weeks ago, I stood beside both. Johnson appears bigger, definitely taller and looks heavier.

no disrespect taken..

I haven't looked, but what is Evans listed? my guess is he is about 160..

I've seen photos of Walls and he defintely doesn't appear to have the "girth" of someone who is 290...

However...if he's in the 265-275 range...and he's as talented as I've been reading that he is....then I think if Wes Brown could make it a season at 265 on one knee then Walls could be as good if not better for us...especially if we can establish a decent 4 man rotation with Hughes, Walls, J. Brown, and Sykes/Jeffrey/Nelson/Clark/Fowlkes

there is no doubt I struggle with accurately guessing lineman weights. Walls looks smaller than Johnson. I said 245 and could be missing it 20 pounds, either way. :)

I argued with Stone that he was not 300 but he keeps telling me he is.. so I'll believe him, for now. :)

So he's officially in?

i dunno about officially, but it sounds like he is. there has been nothing out there indicating he wouldn't. he said today that he will be here June 1st.

everyone seems very optimistic about all the incoming guys including Loften and Brown.

Those two and Rogers WILL be major contributors this year if they get in...so that's great news

So he's officially in?

offical is when he gets through the UT admissions and the clearinghouse. that will likely not happen until sometime in August is my guess. He is close enough that it will be looked at.
