2010 Depth Chart

Since someone requested:

UF:
2010: 4 5*'s, 18 4*'s, 5 3*'s, 1 2*
2009: 3 5*'s, 9 4*'s, 4 3*'s
2008: 4 5*'s, 12 4*'s, 4 3*'s, 2 2*'s
2007: 4 5*'s, 16 4*'s, 7 3*'s,

That's just the last 4 years. I didn't check if anyone left early or not, but you can see they clearly have more than us talent wise.

Total: 5*: 15 4*: 55 3*: 20 2*: 3

This is more than 85 so I'm sure some left early.

UA:
2010: 1 5*, 15 4*'s, 9 3*'s, 1 2*
2009: 4 5*'s, 14 4*'s, 9 3*'s
2008: 3 5*'s, 19 4*'s, 8 3*'s, 2 2*'s
2007: 0 5*'s, 10 4*'s, 12 3*'s, 3 2*'s

Again, I didn't check for who left early and who is still there. But they clearly are still more talented than us.

Total: 5*: 8 4*: 58 3*: 38 2*: 6

This is more than 85 so I'm sure some people left early.

who would've thought having 3 head coaches in 3 years would deplete your roster..... shocking

and no way we beat Kentucky this year.... This is the year the record ends.

This is my opinion of what the depth chart will look like at UT-M. (barring injury)

QB: Simms; 2: Bray
RB: Poole; 2: Oku
FB: Cooper; 2: Bartholomew (TE)
TE: Stocker; 2: Rivera
WR: Moore; 2: Teague
WR: Jones; 2: Rogers/Milton (Whichever is farther along)
OT: Thomas; 2: Pair
OG: Schofield; 2: Pope
OC: Thomas; 2: Hood
OG: Shaw; 2: Revis
OT: James; 2: Pair

DE: Walker; 2: Bohannon
DT: Hughes; 2: Jeffery
DT: Walls; 2: Brown
DE: Martin; 2: Williams
OLB: Thompson: 2: Mitchell-Thornton
MLB: Reveiz; 2: Johnson
OLB: Frazier; 2: Lathers
CB: Evans; 2: Oliver
FS: Jackson; 2: Raines
SS: Myles; 2: Waggner
CB: Clark; 2: Gordon

P: Palardy; 2: Cunningham
K: Palardy; 2: Lincoln
KOS: Palardy; 2: Cunningham

The bolded ones are where I disagree.

- Fugate will not redshirt. He will get some reps as the #2 FB but will be an important player on special teams imo.

- Bartholomew will be the back-up TE. He is working hard there.

- I see you have Pair listed twice as the back-up tackle. I think Hood will be the back-up Center and out main back-up Tackle as well.

- I think Fulton will be a 2nd string Guard along with Pope. He will pass Revis and Stone.

- Right now, Martin is hurt and is looking like trash. That is Gerald Williams spot to lose atm.

- I would bet about all the money I have that frazier not be starting for the UT-M game. He is nowhere close to being ready to go. Lathers will start there unless they move Austin Johnson over from MLB.

- I think Tyler Wolf will be the 2nd string FS ahead of Raines.

- the Clark/Gordon battle should be a good one this fall. like you said, that could go either way.

- I don't think Palardy will beat out Cunningham this year at Punter.

never believe those measureables. Once you see them in person, you can tell real quick some are not close to what they are listed at.. he is not as big, height or weight as Austin Johnson

No disrespect LWS but do you mean to tell me that a guy who's listed at 290 is actually less than 230?

I know those measurables can be a little off...but I find 60lbs off a little hard to believe

I don't get it either thunder. I think there are two Marlon Walls on our team and one is a LB and the other is a DL. Something like that. I've noticed the measurables, addresses, and stats are all scattered about between the two. I don't know if this is completely right but I have noticed that there might be two Marlon Walls on our team.

This is going to show my absence from paying attention this spring, but who the heck is Austin Johnson??

I feel like this is that scene in 'Major League'..."Who are these guys??..I think this guy here is dead."

C'mon man, he wasn't the MLB last year, and went through 3 of them.

Google won't help, its not like his name is "Jim Bob Cooter"

If you follow Tenn football then you shouldn't have to ask who any player is much less austin johnson.

There is only one Marlon Walls...We was a LB in HS and has put on some weight since then and now plays DT...alot of place still uses his Height and Weight listings from his recruitment.

Or at least thats what I have concluded.

Johnson looks to be about 250. Walls looks about 245 and is shorter than Johnson.. 2 weeks ago, I stood beside both. Johnson appears bigger, definitely taller and looks heavier.

no disrespect taken..

I haven't looked, but what is Evans listed? my guess is he is about 160..

Yeah, I remember him going down the middle. I just didn't know he moved to LB, bc I "checked out" most of this spring.

- but I do think its a fair criticism, I should know every single player.
