What about williams at RB?

He's coming off an ACL injury. While he may physically be recovered by the fall, mentally he might still think he has a weak knee and not make certain cuts when needed. If he can bypass the mental block that 90% of players with ACL injuries have he will for sure get a lot of meaningful snaps.

I think Bartholomew moved back to TE, and Fugate will get back up reps. If Brown gets in, I really expect him to pass Walls for the starting job. And I'd like to see Anthony Anderson get in there, just so a Knoxville kid gets some clock.

Also, I heard Thomas wasn't getting it done at center. Is Hood or Revis a real possibility there?

As much as I would like Palardy to do all 3, I just don't think he will... not as a true freshman.

1) I know Bartholomew is a TE, that's why I put (TE) next to his name.
2) Fugate will probably redshirt.
3) I'll be surprised if Walls and Hughes are not the starting DT's at UT-M.
4) I would rather play talent than play a local kid. We need wins.

If Lincoln is still injured he will definitely do all three. I don't think he will get beat for P or KOS. It all depends on how Lincoln's recovery is progressing.

I bet Fugate won't RS, really no point because he will be the starting FB in 2011. Get him some experience. Gerald Williams over Ben Martin, and Gordon over Clark.

With the change in QB's, will that affect the offensive approach any? I have not seen this discussed. More 4 wr sets?

I actually had Gordon over Clark at first then changed it. That could go either way and wouldn't bother me whichever started.

I think Ben Martin is going to have a breakout year. Gerald Williams is still a beast though.

I'd say we will run the ball about 60% of the time and pass 40% of the time. We will try to keep Stocker on the field as much as possible. That leaves 4 skill position players left on offense. In a run heavy offense you want the threat of a run at all times. So I think we will rarely see empty sets. That means at most 3 WR sets. 4 WR sets will be rare this year for our offense IMO.

This is a 4 win team if I ever saw one...going to be hard to watch.

Did Simms run more spread or pro-style in juco? Not that it matters, just wondering.

Nice job!!

This is the feeling I'm getting...I've bolded the differences...

QB: Simms; 2: Bray
RB: Poole; 2: Oku
FB: Cooper; 2: Fugate (I think being in spring practice solidifies him as 2nd team)
TE: Stocker; 2: Rivera
WR: Moore; 2: Teague
WR: Jones; 2: Rogers/Milton (Whichever is farther along)
OT: Thomas; 2: Pair
OG: Schofield; 2: Pope
OC: Thomas; 2: Hood
OG: Shaw; 2: Revis
OT: James; 2: Stone (3 freshmen will have to contribute this year...just no way around it IMO)

DE: Walker; 2: Bohannon (while I agree I also think Smith or Miller could split this spot with Bohanon..at this point I'd say Smith)
DT: Hughes; 2: Jeffery
DT: Walls; 2: Brown
DE: Martin; 2: Williams
OLB: Thompson: 2: Askew ( I think Askew will solidify being 2nd team SLB this spring)
MLB: Johnson; 2: Reveiz (Not sure why so many are so sure Reveiz will step right back into the starting role...I think Johnson keeps this position)
OLB: King; 2: Lathers (I'm not getting a good feeling about Frazier...there's no buzz about how his recovery is going...generally if recovery is going well we hear about it)
CB: Oliver; 2: Evans (I just think Oliver is a better player and proves it with the opportunity he's getting this spring)
FS: Jackson; 2: Waggner
SS: Myles; 2: Loften (If this kid gets in he'll be hard to keep off the field)
CB: Gordon; 2: Clark (Clark could win this role but I'm giving it to Gordon for now since he's at spring practice and Clark still has to prove he's recovered from his knee injury)

P: Palardy; 2: Cunningham
K: Palardy; 2: Lincoln
KOS: Palardy; 2: Cunningham

Wins (6):
UT Martin
UAB
at Memphis
Ole Miss (Knoxville)
at Vanderbilt
Kentucky

I don't see Arthur Jeffrey in the two deep at DT. I think Sykes and Fowlkes would probably play in front of him.

Also, Victor Thomas may give way to Shaw at center.

I agree with the wins but Fowlkes isn't even a DT...and doesn't have the weight to be...

And Sykes is said to have a serious work ethic issue...

And if Thomas gives way to anyone at center it'll be Hood...but that's not going to happen
