Scotty needs to build confidence and what better way to build confidence than to work on your defense. Hopson can try playing a Prince-style agressive defense (excluding the dumb fouls). As an agressive defender, he will be more prominent on the offensive end of the court.

Scotty also might need to play this season as if last year was his senior year.

can't wait to see what this team can do, how good would tn have been over the past 3 years if not for all the tom foolery. it seems like every year we would lose a important clog in the machine, let's see what happens with a full roster.

During the non con cream puff portion of the schedule you can average 80+ ppg and help inflate the average. By seasons end there is not a team in the SEC that has a great chance of averaging 80ppg, much less 88. 9 schools averaged above 80, and only 5 were BCS conference teams. Only 3 SEC schools in the top 40, Vandy, Ole Miss and UK.

The individual scoring and team record/ranking is probably close to the mark around 6 or 7 losses.

Good analysis Hardwood. How's UK looking, I don't mind if you make predictions on your guys.

Waiting for the Kanter decision before I get too serious about predictions. If he gets eligible by Christmas, then it becomes a different story, as far as the post season goes.

With or without him regular season, we probably drop 5-7 games with our lack of post presence. Practice reports say that Harrelson is having his way with Vargas, which isn't a good thing to hear, because Josh is average at best.

Should be an interesting season.

Agreed. However, he sure does have the ability to do so!

oh yes, he does have the ability, but can he do it ? i was so high on this guy 2 years ago, but since then he has done nonthing to get my hopes back up. i hope he does have a great season. he needs to learn to score off the dribble more than be a transition scorer and catch and shoot !!

I predicted 24 and 6 as well.

I want to see the team before I make my NCAA prediction, and I may even hold all the way out to Maymon's inclusion.

This team has the potential to get a #1 ranking early in the season before stumbling to some top talent in conference.

Villanova, Memphis, UConn and Pitt...Brutal OOC

I don't think I am going to go into as much detail as listing players stats.. But here are my predictions to the 2010-2011 year.

Overall Regular Season: 25-8

I have them winning the NIT and going undefeated (8-0) until the Pitt game.

I see key conference losses to UGA@UGA. Florida both places and Kentucky@Kentucky (possibly both pending the Kanter elgibility), and going out on a limb and predicting an upset with Arkansas@Arkansas. I think we beat Vandy both times.

As far as out of conference losses go I see a loss to Pitt and UCON.

I am predicting the semi-finals of the SEC tournament.
3-5 seed in the NCAA's.
Sweet 16 in the NCAA tourny.

Sitting here in Vegas debating on whether to bet on the Venetians odds of ut winning it all 55-1. I'm thinking $20 wouldn't be a bad idea.
