The article discusses the top targets on our board, and the amount of scholarships we'll have available...We have 4, and we could have a 5th (Passley's) if we don't lose it as a result of the APR penalty.

So, if we don't add another player in the 07 class, we could sign as many as 5 in 08.

The targets discussed in the article are:

Elliot Williams - 6'4" combo guard out of Memphis...nation's #28 overall prospect.

Angelo Johnson - 5'10" point guard from Cali. Currently lists us as his leader over USC and others. The nation's #12 ranked pg.

Darius Miller - 6'6" swingman from Maysville, KY. The nation's #38 overall player...has scholarship offers from all the big-time schools, but we're in good shape.

Romero Osby - 6'8" versatile forward...he's a longshot, and the #15 overall player in the country.

Paul Williams - 6'3" shooting guard...he lists us with a handful of other top-notch programs he has serious interest in. The nation's #75 overall player.

Teondre Williams - 6'4" shooting. He has springs in his legs, but not a lot of polish to his game...labelled as a "freak-athlete," he's a former AAU teammate of JJ Hickson. Rivals ranks him as the #74 overall player in the nation.

Jason Jones - 6'3" shooting guard from Memphis. He's considered an "elite shooter," but he's also a versatile athlete who can defend and score in the open floor. Member of the Rivals 150.

Wow, when I look at that list, I'm even more impressed with what Pearl has done in 2 years. Even if none of them come to Tennessee, I'm happy that we were even considered.

Pearl ball is going to be fun to watch when he has all of his players in place. It's already fun to watch, buy you know what I mean.

I'm already dreaming of what the team will look like when Chism, Ramar, and Crews are Seniors. Also, the '08 class will be in the Sophmore year, and I think that '08 will be a stacked class.

Don't dream too hard - quite a few of the players you just mentioned may head early to the NBA draft...

aren't we on a coupla other lists too, I know he is a long shot, but seems like Aminu has a marginal interest in us.
