TE Chris Brown; leading returnee in receptions
TE Brad Cottam; 6'8 and runs like a deer
WR Brent Vinson; freshman that has that wow factor

THe defense is an unconfirmed fact. The offense is still waiting on the RG battle and I am 85% sure that Vinson and KO will be the WR's and am 100% sure Foster will start because FUlmer likes him and Coker has LOST WEIGHT!

"Street & Smith's" lists Lucas Taylor and Austin Rogers as the projected starting WR's, with no mention at all of Vinson and O'Neal. Where did you get them as the starting WR's? Just curious.

Erik AInge was in town a few weeks ago at the Jason Witten camp and he said the Foster is going an extra mile in his offseason conditioning...exceeding what the S?C coach set for him...Id say hes wanting the job and probably deserves it as long as he doesnt have the dropsies.

"Street and SMith's" was probably published before the newcomers came and wowed everyone. If we did not have Vinson and O'Neal, we would be in serious trouble with LT and Rogers, and Hancock is above Rogers anyway.

From what I have heard, Arian Foster has become a freaking beast. He is 225-230 and has worked non stop and runs extremley hard, maybe a bit too hard.

Everybody is talking about Cokers speed and I agree he is fast...but Foster is a prototypical UT RB. Yeah, he'll only get you 4 yards a carry...but think of who the OC is and the teams he had in the 90's...4 yards and a punishing blow to the tackler fits UT to a T (pun intended)

Looks like a good line-up to me..... You don't think either Hancock/Briscoe/Rogers/Taylor will lock up one of the starting spots? And I can see Foster starting but Coker better get close to half of the carries.

The only way I can see any of the returning WR's starting is Fuler gets a crazy idea in his head that he needs to start veterans instead of skill, but if he does that, once they get in there and start dropping ball, you'll see Vinson, O'Neal, and maybe an occasional Gerald Jones sighting.

The Foster or Coker debate mystifies me. We need the skill sets that each possesses. Each will play. Include Hardesty as well. Where's the problem?....

As for the freshmen WRs... I can appreciate that they have physical skills that jump out on the practice field, but honestly, lets wait a bit before we say two of them deserve to be on the field starting in the first game. Fall practice has not even begun....

Right there with you O+W. I don't understand this obsession, especially considering none of the three have all been healthy at one time.

I say find a way (in the slot) to keep your fastest skill players on the field.

They haven't even started fall practice yet, nothing is fact, everyones prediction is nothing more than a guess some educated guesses some not so much. While I agree with most of the line up some are far from certain, while some like Berry and Mckenzie may and probably will work their way into the starting spots, I would be very surprised to see them there against Cal in the opener.

No he's not, Trooper said during and after spring practice that Rodgers was playing the best of any of the WRs and if they had to play right now Rodgers would be on the field, the staff is very high on Hancock though, his size should make him a good possesion receiver if he can get himself open.

I don't see why you would bring Kenny O'Neal in and not start him unless he were to show up and flop. It doesn't sound like that is the case, so I certainly expect him to start and likely anchor that WR corps. As for Vinson, I could see Fulmer starting a "veteran" over him. But, it's not like any of the others have seen massive playing time. So, if Vinson's raw skill outshines the "veterans," then I suspect O'Neal and Vinson could both be starting.

Atlanta4Gordon takes Volquest chatter from Hubbs and makes Vinson and O'Neal the starters.

They have not been named started by anyone on staff. Though, Vinson has been playing very well, according to Hubbs.

It sounds like a good WR situation we are in regardless. Someone is going to have to out work/out shine/out play to get in there..... And who ever it is will be better for it.

I guess the OP doesn't realize that Parker has nailed down a starting guard spot, and McClendon, Foster, and Richard are battling for the opposite guard spot.

There was a lot of buzz about Hincock last spring. I think he will play into the mix. I'm surprised that Slick Shelly hasn't improved or at least we haven't heard much. I hate CPF & TT recruiting guys that don't end up playing.

Slick is no longer at UT. I think he went to Tulsa.
