Based on how we finished this season and what we have coming back, where do you think we will start next basketball season ranked?

12th and 16th.

I have no justification for that, but you asked for a prediction, so there it is.

I was wondering about that. I guess it depends on how many players go pro for the teams above us. I would say 10-15. Maybe higher

i believe we should be in the top 10, its hard for me to think of more than nine teams that will be considered better than us at the start of next season

Depends on alot of things right now. How the rest of the tourny plays out, who all goes pro and what coaches are where next season. We shouldn't be any worse than 15th preseason.

Since the Vols were one of the last 16 teams remaining this season, I would imagine no worse than 16th in any poll all things considered.

We should rank anywhere from 10-15 in preseason polls.

Next year's team has the ability to go deep in the NCAA tourney and we should be the favorite to win the SEC title. It'd be nice to have a regular season conference championship in men's basketball.

One of most damning things about college football's ridiculous bowl/BCS system is that we don't have to care at all about basketball rankings. I mean, AT ALL. Whether you start out as the consensus #1 or unranked has nothing to do with whether you're cutting down the nets in late March or early April. Rankings are what they ought to be -- a semi-interesting sideline, but irrelevant to anything that's taking place between the lines.

It's a better system. Ask Auburn's football team a couple of years ago.

a team returning virtually everyone from a sweet 16 appearance where we only lost to the number 1 team in the land by 1 point? we go into next season top ten easily.

We have had too many impressive wins to not be ranked high. And unless we struggle we should finish ranked high late in the season.
