I grew up on Vols football... Heck even when Bama owned us for 11 yrs straight I never once lost hope in the team. But after yesterdays game I know we are in deep deep trouble. CPF is old school and there was a tiime for that, but now with all the new regulations and tricky plays the other teams come up with, i dont think CPF has what it takes to keep up. I think hes dropping the ball with our team more than they do on the field. He has failed them and claims very little accountability in the losses. Although he says "we just couldn't make the plays, we just couldn't bring it together". Its still on his shoulders. Irregardless of his micro management style, saying he lets the DC and Oc call the plays. Ultimatly its his fault. So what if he is / was the winningest coach in history its not going to be long at this rate till he drops well below that title. I think we need a drastic change. He should have the courage and the conviction to stand up, take a look in the mirror and admit he is finished. He has let down the team, the fans, the school (his alma mater). Do we as fans really need to accept this? We were once a mountian to climb on the way to the SEC / NC championships. Now we are no more than a mere speedbump. And after last nights game no more than a scrimmage. We played as if we were still in a high school football, no where near the level of competitive college football. What other team would let you score 3 times in the first half of the first quarter. We need someone with insight and imagination, and the cohones to actually motivate the players and do something with this program. At this rate we may be blessed to find ourselves 4-7 at the end of the season. Last nights "red-headed step child beating" should have been the last straw for the AD, if things dont turn around from this point on, I feel a pettion should be generated for the immediate dismissal of CPF............... ok I've ranted enough....................
