When y'all infamously "drained The Swamp" against what I still contend is the 3rd best Gator squad I've seen so far, THAT is Tennessee football...That game burned me to my core, as I sat there with my soon to be wife, and watched Travis Stephens (I'll never forget that name) emasculate our d-line to the tune of like 200 something yards...Probably the illest I've ever felt after a game, probably the most I've hated another team in one moment...But after the hurt subsided a little, I could only tip my cap because, after all, Tennessee was an ELITE program like us, so I just threw another log on to the fire of this great rivalry and looked forward to next year's matchup, hopefully in it's rightful September time slot...Good or bad, this rivalry has created memories for me...Please, football gods, find a way to fix Tennessee so I can hate that Power T again...It's only right.

I’m “only” 37 and have serious doubts about whether or not UT will ever be that good again.

Tennessee football is dead it will take a major home run HC hire to bring it back at this point.

I feel like they have to be, they're at college football's "big boy table"...And college football, being cyclical as it, will eventually shine on the Vols again.

I miss the days when Gator fans are throwing beer bottles at my fiance (now wife) instead of pitying us...

On my top 3 list of toughest losses. The other two; Nebraska clobbering us in the 95 national title game, and the 93 FSU game in the Swamp where Warrick Dunn crushed our souls with a late 80 yard TD.

And I agree, that’s the Tennessee I’ll always refer to. And don’t forget, that was Spurrier’s last game coached in the Swamp.

You know we're bad when rival fans are telling us to get our S*** together. Just think the bullet UF dodged, which worked against UT (as always). UCLA hires Chip Kelly away from UF, and hires Mullen, who was pretty much on the docket for UT. That being said, at the time, I thought Mullen was too much like Butch from a "weird/quirky" personality standpoint.

I was the same about Mullen. I kick myself over that lol

I’m of the camp that as bad as our record looks this year, the only coach Pruitt should be fired for would be urban meyer. Anyone else will be more of the same “3 years of rebuilding and then canned in their 4th season.”

If PF still has the support of the boosters and the admin, that assures the death of the program. I really do think the glory days are long gone.
Whoops. I got in the Humdrumvee by accident. Well, it's okay. Mondays always suck anyway, especially after a Tennessee football Saturday.

Lol. Some of our most bitter rivals are now bringing up past memories to console us. We’ve really fallen far.

The rivalry of old will not return until Tennessee has a sustained run of success. It’s not going to come back after one fluke win like 2016. I think UT will have the occasional once a decade win but I just don’t ever see it being like it was in the 90s and early 2000’s. (Not that we beat Florida a bunch back then but at least we were competitive) A lot of bad things would have to happen to Florida.
