So, every sports writer I follow says Tennessee will win one game they shouldn't win and lose one game they shouldn't lose. Please reply with an answer and explanation for each. Here are my guesses.

Win: Georgia - I think UGA will underestimate the revenge factor in this one, and we will come ready to play. Neyland will be loud for this one.

Loss: Cincy - They are early enough in the season to catch us off guard, and their offense scores a lot of points. (Think UCLA in 09)

GO BIG ORANGE!!!

Considering half the predictions I've seen have us beating Georgia, I won't say that would be an unexpected win. Beating South Carolina or LSU would be.

Unexpected loss would be Cincinnati.

I think we come up with the W this time around in K-ville. The last 2 trips have been a disaster. We have to turn it around this year.

Considering the last two games have been complete ass beatings one way or the either, I just want to see a good game. A good game is, of course, UT winning by 40

I never expect to lose to Georgia when we play them in Neyland.

Last year most pre-season writers had us finishing 4-8. Did we lose any of the games we were expected to win? NO

I say not only do we will all the ones we are supposed to, but we have a couple of wins we maybe shouldn't. I predict wins over LSU, Georgia and South Carolina - all at Neyland. At least 9-3 this year. Look at Bama's year 2 with Saban and Chizik's year 2 with Auburn; anything can happen...

I don't think we lose any game that we are favored in but we will win one that is an unexpected win. To play the scenerio that you want, I would say we beat Arkansas but
lose to Cincinnati.
I perdict 8 wins plus a 9th win in the bowl game.

You won't be the first UGA fan to think that, and make that long drive back to Athens in tears.....

Go Vols.

Think we lose all that we are expected to, besides South Carolina. And we win all that we are supposed to.

Screw the revenge factor with Georgia. We beat them most of the time anyway.

I want to beat LSU. That's some revenge for ya. Also, I'm not really going out on limb here by saying this, but we should prolly end up with anywhere from 6-8 wins. That said; I would much rather beat someone with LEGIT national title hopes, and screw their season. Georgia always implodes on their own. Rarely do they need UT's help tanking a season.

I have a feeling those expecting a win against Georgia, will be the ones in tears. The annual tradition of Richt being on the hotseat, might actually help them this year.

Why do people keep saying this?

That was supposed to be a little tounge-and-cheek. The rivalry is however very streaky, we win four or five in a row, they win 4 or five in a row--generally blowouts one way or another.

Good. I was afraid it was because people genuinely believed that "we beat them most of the time anyway."

I still don't care about beating them as much as Bama, Fla, or LSU next year. They have never truly dominated us over an extended period of time.

That 01 abortion where Fulmer and Chavis boned each other as we pissed away the game ended all that.
