2 times we're moving the ball and go to the G-Gunn...

Some of you guys on here are hilarious.. Fact is Gerald is the BEST player on the Offensive side of the ball.. They have to get him the ball so that is why they put him at QB.. Until they can find a QB that can get the ball into his hands on a consistent basis then they have to keep using him in different ways.. The package is only averaging about 7 yards per play... Seriously Tennessee better figure out some things at QB or they are going to have a rough 5-8 years.. Its hard to sell recruits on the offensive of the ball when they cannot move the ball.. Its hard to sell the program to players with Gerald and Erics abilities when they see that the two best players dont touch the ball a whole lot...

Millwood, I respect you but in all honesty Gerald needs to be a WR or a RB based on his agility and his acceleration. We need a full-time QB to get this offense going in the direction it needs to go. Last night, I believe we saw that QB in Nick Stephens. I say death to the G-Gun.

The fact is that teams are going to continue to put 8 men in the box every time they see the G-Gun, unless somehow Gerald can throw the ball just enough to keep them honest. I'm not real hopeful that will happen. It's hard for anyone to run with 8 men in the box.

You dummies must have forgotten the vast successes we had with the Eric Locke package.

timing... last night was, IMO, poor timing for the ggun.. they need to come off the sidelines with the package and not put it in during a successful drive.

I personally think that if they are going to run the G-Gun, that they need to do it for the ENTIRE series. Then the other team would have to guess about every play instead of just one. If they can't keep it on the field, then keep it off.

also.. I don't recall the ggun used last night like it typically had been used. I only saw the attempted bootleg pass/run option and the qb draw. I saw it being more fruitful when he had the read/run option.

If we had Creer/Hardesty in there with Jones on an option play, then the results might be pretty good.
