No it doesn't. It shows that Kobe is a complete ball hog.
Yeah, Kobe got to the line. But when he didn't, he was completely ineffective. When the refs let them play in the 4th, you saw exactly what happened. Kobe struggled and took horrible, horrible shots while getting away from Pau/Bynum.
Again, you can take your 14 free throws and ruin the offense. I'll take 13-25.
Please explain. I want to hear this.
You're the one who is basically saying nothing is Kobe's fault by saying you would rather Kobe just shoot.
Is any of the loss on Kobe, in your eyes?
No what I was saying is that I'm going with Kobe's point per shot over Gasol/Bynum
Yea it has to be he is the leader. I'm not as foolish to sit and not blame the main player. He is the catalyst that makes everything the lakers are, work.
Guys on the team have to want to take the shot instead of hiding behind Kobe. Bynum and Peace(Bless his heart) I think would take the shot. Gasol on the other hand has lost what he brought to the team 2 years ago. A go to threat that would take the shot if need be.
Kobe. This one stunned me a little bit. Who doesnt know Kobe Bryant right? I only know what I have heard, starting awhile back with the entire Shaq debacle. I dont really have an opinion one way or the other on or about him other than to know that people feel he might be one of the 4-5 greatest players to ever lace it up. What I do know is what I got to see up close and hear, was unexpected. From the first tip until about 4 minutes left in the game I saw and heard this guy ***** at his teammates. Every TO he came to the bench pissed, and a few of them he went to other guys and yelled about something they werent doing, or something they did wrong. No dialog about hey lets go, lets get after it or whatever. He spent the better part of 3.5 quarters pissed off and ranting at the non-execution or lack of, of his team. Then when they made what almost was a historic run in the 4th, during a TO, he got down on the floor and basically said Lets fing go, right now, right here or something to that affect. I am not making this observation in a good or bad way, I have no idea how the guys in the NBA play or do things like this, but I thought it was a fascinating bit of insight for me to watch someone in another sport who is in the position of a team leader and how he interacted with his team and teammates. Watching the other 11 guys, every time out it was high fives and Hey nice work, lets get after it or something to that affect. He walked off the floor, obligatory skin contact on the high five, and sat on the bench stone faced or pissed off, the whole game. Just weird to see another sport and how it all works. I would assume thats his style and how he plays and what works for him because when I saw the leader board for scoring in the post season his name sat up top at 31+ a game, cant argue with that. But as a fan I was watching the whole thing, Kobe, his teammates and then the after effects of conversations. Hed yell at someone, make a point, or send a message, turn and walk away, and more than once the person on the other end would roll eyes or give a whatever dude look.
What? That Kobe was getting calls and getting to the line. Watch what happens when he doesn't get the calls in the 4th. He ruins the offense. I'll take an extra eight shots from Bynum and Gasol instead of, let's say, eight free throw attemps from Kobe since Kobe kept trying to get to the line.

Kobe kept trying to get to the line in the fourth? I am pretty sure all of his shots except two were from outside 15 feet. When he was getting "the calls" he was in the lane or 2 feet from it.
Again how does Kobe taking more free throws hurt a team?
Are you insane? Kobe is not the leader of that team?
Who is? I wanna know this because your grasping now.
Ok I get your point more now and understand it. Of course it makes more sense since Kobe averages more points per shot. However, when Bynum is playing the way he was in the first half, and for him to only get 4 attempts in the second half, that just isn't good basketball in my opinion.
A lot of Bynums problems tonight was Kobe shooting (granted if Kobe is making those shots none of this matters and Kobe is the hero).
If that makes sense, what i'm trying to say.
Yea it does. There were multiple times when Peace had an oppurtunity to throw the ball inside to Bynum and he did not. Reggie even commented on the no look for Bynum.
Right now? Nobody. If you mean Kobe is the "supposed" leader, then yeah sure. Is he a good leader? No. Not. At. All. I can cite countless examples.
And Phil Jackson was the leader of their title teams.
So Phil was for the Bulls also.
5 enough said.
Obligatory 3 were because of shaq he did it all himself.
You go ask the players and coaches on that team who the leader is and they will say Kobe.
Now if your asking a year ago you would have two different answers. Kobe, and Fish
