Jmho, but I don't think George will be a factor at all. I think it's Jennings, Byrd, Callaway and Brandon Johnson. If Josh Smith is healthy he contributes a bit as well and perhaps Latrell Williams' very good spring translates as well.

You very well could be right man.

Look at last years passing stats:

Jennings got 580 yds last year. Seemed like he did a lot better than that.

Wolf got 239 yds
Byrd 209 yds
Callaway only got 13 yds on 1 catch.

Hard to believe from those stats, but I still think Dormady throws for over 3,500 yds this year with his eyes shut.

Preston Williams really jumped ship a little early, didn't he?

Where did Preston wind up? I forget

Agree on this

I keep telling everyone that Brandon Johnson is going to be really good for us. I think this year he really comes into his own.
Also Byrd is always going to be our slot guy, so the other side has to be a guy like BJ.

I think this pretty much answers all the questions for this thread

WR1: Jauan Jennings
Josh Smith/Jeff George

Slot: Tyler Bryd
Latrell Williams

WR2: Marquez Callaway
Brandon Johnson/Jordan Murphy

Something like this. JMO

Jeff George is a wildcard.

I'm really liking this group. Everyone expected sounds like they are growing into more production. Then Latrell Williams ... watch out. He's going to make some big plays at some point.

Lmao, Jalen Hurd's long should be 24 (TD). I'm glad he got blown up on that play like an idiot.

Byrd needs to stay in the slot.

How tall is he? I'm not certain he could be more effective as the #2WR than he is in the slot.

This is what I was thinking. Play a rotation of Jennings, Callaway, Smith, and Johnson on the outside. Hopefully you can use Latrell Williams in certain situations. Any contribution by George would be a pleasant surprise.

Lots of great posts on this thread. IMO our receiving corps will be much better this coming season. :hi:

I know this is a 2nd reciever thread but the way Dormady was throwing at the spring game, AND Wolf catching the ball, Wolf might be the 2nd highest yardage reciever!

I suspect the Wolf brothers will be prime targets in CLS's offense.

I was about to say.... don't forget about the TE's in this offense... they will be used more heavily...

I think J Kelly and the TEs will diminish the need for a clear cut #2. I could see Smith, Callaway, and Byrd all having very respectable seasons in the 300-500 yard and 5 touchdown range. George should match their touchdown production on limited red zone yards. Johnson is a wild card. Could be very very good, or could get surpassed by Callaway and lose targets.

C'mon guys...We all know our best WR will be the guy with the Hottest girlfriend.

That way he and his Hot GF will get lots of press and he'll become a 1st round NFL draft pick.

The NFL is running out of new ways to make the cash register ring so the next hot trend will be the cameras on the hot wives and girlfriends of the players so that has to start in college too.

Our "girls Of" threads have taught the NFL a new trick.

You can bet our TE's will be catching more balls this season since our line won't need as much blocking help and buTch has always liked getting good TE production.

VFL...GBO!!!

Would it be better to have Latrell Williams in the slot with his speed/quickness working underneath, or on the outside taking the top off the defense?

no brainer Brandon Johnson!! Brandon, bryd, Jennings, and smith are ur only experience in game wr..George played last season, but maybe one catch..Callaway will be great, but I cant base it off one catch and 15 spring practices..lets see what happen summer and fall...Brandon will win that job and it wont be close..We aint got long til this thing kick off..
