1. Has anybody heard how Nick Stephens has performed in practice this week?

2. Did you hear about Darryl Vereen being moved to linebacker??? Is he big enough to play that position?

Well hopefully Nick will get the nod but I think Jonathan will get the start but Nick will get in after a 3 and out by Crompton. I dont wish bad on the guy or anything but we need a change after the first 4 games!

I'm just ready to WIN...no matter who's under center!

I imagine you will see both guys play quite a bit. I think you may even get to see BJ this week.

^^^ Don't count on it, you know how CPF likes to stick with "his guy". If JC is playing well, which he should against an inferior team, look for him to stay through the 3rd quarter to "build his confidence".

You are correct hog! JC will appear better in this game and will play. If you expect the leopard CPF to change his spots, you are in for disappointment!

So you think JC will play the first series, and then be benched?

Thats laughable. If JC starts, he has it until we are being beaten, or until our defense scores enough points to give us a cushion, and NS comes in 2nd half.

I hope JC doesn't start, but that's a big dream knowing how CPF makes decisions.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Fulmer says Crompton has great practices but just can't take the practice performance to the games. So now he has had 4 shots at that this year and failed 4 times. What makes Fulmer think this week will be any different?

NIU is a team that I could beat playing QB for Tennessee. It's time to put Crapton on the bench and give the other guys a chance to show what they have.

If Crompton starts......I'm done with this team.

Are we gonna see a 2004 (Ainge and Shaffer) and 2005 (Ainge and Clausen) type co-starter deal for N. Ill?

No i doubt it, we will not see (ppv) co-starters. JC will play and look good because NIL is not a very good team. So he will play most of the game and Stephens will come in for mop up, covers the "both will play" prommise. Then next week JC will stink up the place against UGA and here we go again. CPF is predictable to a power T.

Any takers on the 3rd offensive series - we will see another QB.
Considering in 04 and 05 they seemed make the change every 3rd series.

I don't see it playing out like that. NS will play at least 40% of the snaps IMO.
