Read on the internet the Dormady camp is looking at possible transfer. JUST PASSING THIS ON FOR THOUGHT! DON'T SHOOT THE ARROWS AT ME YET.
If true, bye! Don't let the door hit you in the donkey on the way out. Next man up, Sheiron Jones!

I'm no fan of a 2 QB system.

With all the talent we have backing up Dobbs, though, you've gotta think the coaches will be much less hesitant to let him run as much as needed in 2017. That's a good thing, IMO.

How many times will this subject be discussed. Meaningful football minds would crucify b Butch if he went to a 2 QB system and rightfully so. Dobbs is a gamer so this is a nonsense topic.

Dobbs is a gamer, he is a really good athlete, and he is a really good runner... but he is not a really good QB. It might be argued that he isn't a good QB.

Dobbs has completed 60% of his passes with a 3-1 TD/INT ratio. He has rushed for 600 yards and 9 TDs.

Dormady has 18 career attempts in mop up duty.

Dobbs is also the king of screen passes. His completion percentage should always be considered with proper context. Also why his TD/INT ratio is so low. A WR can turn a screen into a 90 yard TD, but you have to really screw up to get picked on the shorter passes compared to the long to mid ones.

So we have no doubt that dormady can wing it, I have liked what I have seen. But what says you Volnation is 2100 total passing yards enough with these receivers for you guys? Or will Butch return to his two QB system he had success with at Cincinnati.

Dobbs and Guarnatano split reps that would be awesome... Why would you burn JG's Redshirt though?

I think his Numbers show other wise.
2125 passing yards 15 Passing TDs
623 Rushing yards 9 Rushing TDs
58 receiving yards 1 Receiving TD

We ranked 18th in the country in Total offense and 2nd in the SEC....I think we have a really good QB!!!

It' hard to replace Dobbs 3 years of expierience even with Dormady, but with that being said, Dormady's one play away from being the starter next year

Personally I think Dormady is gone after next year, and possibly this year. We need a good running quarterback for our system to work, and Dormady is ok running but ok isn't good enough. Sheriron Jones is a good runner and he fits the offense better, and then Gaurantano is supposed to be elite both as a runner and a passer. Dormady looks to be a good passer, but just passing is not enough from a quarterback in our offense. Dobbs starter in 2016, and in 2017 it'll be a battle between Jones and Gaurantano IMO. Dormady to me is the odd man out.

I could see Dormady at TCU or Baylor.

Declarations that 2QB systems can't work are tired arguments. In almost every instance the team or the QBs aren't very good and the 2QB system is the result rather than the cause of a mediocre season. In certain scenarios it could work very well. When Ainge was a freshman it worked great.

If the Oline continues to improve and with the Vols RB's, I see no reason Dormady couldn't be successful as a Vol QB......Dormady still has a future at UT and it could be big

Whole year missed by Dormady didn't help his catalog. You usually see a gradual progression. Play at a high level as a sophomore...get hurt...basically start over as a senior? Not ideal. He missed out on a lot of the high profile passing camps that stellar junior years lands you. Sheriron, for his part looks really solid physically...he was extremely thin in his senior highlights. They have an even slate going into Spring. Loser transfers.

Wow one of them Transfer? I am really pround of you butchna you are thinking logically now...:)

Proper Context? Ok So should Dormady since he's played all mop up duty against tired slow third horrible defenses.
