Because you cant refute with facts, it's ok I understand.
um..yeah. 1 TD a game average in 2018, career is around 0.8 per game. 6 wins in 18 starts. He isn't good. Cannot read a defense. Cannot scramble to get out of pressure. Cannot check through receivers. Under throws most deep balls. He sure can throw a short pass accurately though! Did I mention 6 wins in 18 starts?

I get it. You've made your bed with the JG is a good QB crowd. But now its morning, and the lights are on, and they have rolled over on your arm. With adequate lighting you see that completion % you were grinding on last night was all smoke and mirrors. You could escape but you probably have to gnaw your own arm off..so instead you accept your fate of approving of mediocrity and having lowered expectations.

I highly doubt that....CP is smart enough to know that this hire could make or break him as the hfc at Tennessee. It could also be detrimental to all his successful recruiting efforts.

If it was Friend it would have been announced by now. If he needed to move Friend around to bring in an OC and "his guy" that would have been done by now as well.

The words he chose in his latest presser were poor and he realizes that as well...and he will learn from that as well. Part of me believes he said it in frustration as they just wrapped up a extremely exhausting recruiting effort and all the media wants to talk about is the OC position.
Yes it was a warranted question...yes he should have been prepared for it and yes it was a bad answer. Part of me also believes he phrased his answer the same way a parent would tell their kids they weren't getting dessert before dinner...something like...."you're not getting dessert before you eat...shut up and move on".
Are we sure about that? Born, raised, and educated in Alabama...

serious question, do you live under powerlines? Do you have more than two brain cells that can run together? Try using them once and understanding that he isnt the only player on the team, and he isnt the only person responsible for scoring points, I get it, it's way easier to be lazy and say him, point at someone and say that's the problem. But you doing that is the same as your toddler telling your mechanic how to rebuild the engine.

here's how it is supposed to work. a successful championship coach can get the best assistants he wants, not settle for 2nd and 3rd best. IMO the OC that Pruitt gets will define his coaching tenure at UT and will probably directly impact how long he will be here.
Still a lot of variables exist. For example, a lot of OC's, especially the more experienced ones would want to bring in their own assistants. This could be a touchy point if CJP is looking for staff continuity because he already has Friend, Weinke, and Osovet on the staff. I think we have good receiver coaches as well on staff. Then a new OC would consider if CJP would actually give him "free reign" to run the offense the way he wants. I think CJP will take the safe way out and promote from within. Kitchens and Sark could be available and either one of those would be flexible enough to work with the current staff. CJP is probably doing a lot vetting trying to get this right for the reasons you stated.

I'm not Sark or bust by any means but every single thing in his college resume', points to nothing but great offensive production.

Huge gains in offense at both Washington and USC when he took over, and drop off in production, when he left.
Seems most posters have their list and will tear down anyone not on it. So I'm sure the Falcons will be mentioned but that is pure silliness.
In this case, Spurrier and Saban are perfect examples of why you should never consider an NFL stint.

Wouldn't worry about recruiting. It's common to have coordinators that don't spend as much time on that. HC and position coaches are mentioned by recruits more often.

Sarkisian was an excellent recruiter at USC and at Washington. I think Pruitt hires him after Falcons last game next Sunday for numerous reasons.

1. He can coach and develop QB’s.
2. He is an experienced play caller from a P5 conference and the NFL.
3. He can recruit top notch QB’s to UT.

Nah. Underground utilities bro.

Your blind devotion to JG as a good QB is akin to setting the cruise control on your 2013 VW bug and then taking a nap and expecting to wake up at your destination unscathed.

Is the offense bad? Yes. Is the offense being bad all of JG's fault? No. Is JG a good QB? No. Is the offensive line good? No. Will JG become a good qb? No.

Are you suggesting an active coach on the Michigan staff is telling recruits he is going to Tennessee and the recruits are flipping to Tennessee and this coach is still actually employed by Michigan?
Is the Michigan swim coach available? Worked out great last time.

..and just when will you begin calling Pruitt ‘ that Bama coach sabotaging UT’?

My gosh! A failed telepath. No wonder Babylon 5 is back as a rerun. They're recruiting real telepaths instead of 0.006% accurate guessers.

After reading an article on Saturday Down South, about the possibility of Major Applewhite losing his job at Houston, and the fact he has been an OC, in particularly at Alabama. What do y'all think of the possibilty he could cone to Tennessee? Just thinking out loud.

Sark would be a horrible hire. Last time he had any real responsibility at the college level, he was suspended due to his battles with alcoholism. I'd be very disappointed in Pruitt if he has any intention to even interview Sark.
I don’t like Sark. Just saying I could see Pruitt going that route.

Did you read how that turned out for Applewhite at Bama? One of Saban’s few recorded failed hires.

As this was just my attempt to interject a thought. When Major Applewhite was at Alabama, he was a very inexperienced coach. He has since had 11 more years to extend his coaching education.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not calling for him to be hired here. It was just me thinking out loud.

Sark’s past is what bothers me.

He was in a similar situation at USC. Loaded with talent. Also shared duties with Lane. So, I’m not convinced he is guru or great mind.
However, His predecessor at USC also sucked in the NFL as a play caller.
