Gundy wasn't getting a raise, one way or the other. His salary already has built in increase every year from extension he just sign last year. Besides, why jump from one Mega booster that he actually gets along with (T Boone Pickens) and an AD he knows how to handle to the mess and power struggle with no end in sight at TN.

I'm assuming you meant "pay" and not "play", but believing that is sheer ignorance. Kiffin won't come cheap long term, and we know he has no loyalty to UT. Has zero to do with butt hurt and everything to do with his overall history. He has no integrity. Yes, he's a good offensive coach, but no way in hell I want him as the face of our university.

Gruden plays the attention to his best advantage. He encourages it. Like going on Seattle radio and telling them before the interview not to bring up the TN job only for him to start going on about Rocky Top.

I got no problem with him being a fan of the program. Coming down and chatting with players and coaches every now and then.

But please stop this nonsense about him coming to coach here.

Spot on with Gruden liking the attention. He has no intentions of leaving his have-to-do-nothing job to get back into coaching; But he loves all the attention.He loves teasing and being courted.This has to be a full decade that he has been"rumored to come to Tenn" and a host of other schools along the way.It's dreamed up in chat rooms and forums like this and the delusional fans just can't let it go.

Amen! Also tired of the Grudenites, that end up with egg on their faces, telling everyone else to GTFO every time we bring up reasons why Gruden won't come to UT. He's like a cult with some of these guys.
