I came here hoping to see to Schiano, sorry but your list is weak. I love hearing those those names, who cares if Gundy said no, that was a fantasy, and for Gruden, the jury is still out, never say never to nothing is what I always say.

Schiano, Sexton, Forde, wolken, Brando......the list goes on. But Gundy and Gruden isn’t close on my list.

I dont care if l never hear these two names mentioned with Tennessee Football .....Jon Gruden & Mike Gundy!!! Think both just playin us for ego & money!! flame away...:banghead2:

Then I would suggest staying away from this forum because some ppl on here will never let gruden go. It's not him keeping it going, it's volnation members. Contrary to popular belief, he can talk about Vol football without leading people on or throwing his hat in the ring for the HC position.

Just something to consider for those that think there's never been anything of substance to the White Whale hunt.

BVS symptoms include believing a potential coach must only be better than Kiffin/Dooley/Butch to be right for us.

Gundy Yes I agree He keeps using us for a raise. Gruden however is different. I read yesterday that Gruden wanted the job but also wanted Nick Saban type of control. Haslam would not agree to giving up that much control. Gruden walked away

That makes no sense. The University provides the MoU. If Currie didn’t want those two stipulations then they wouldn’t have been in a MoU and Gruden wouldn’t have signed it.

C’mon people. Quit taking the bait

According to some reliable reports, Gruden might've actually been sincerely interested this time, but he wanted complete control; something that Haslam would've never offered. So Haslam and Currie went to their stooge, Greg Schiano.

I always felt like Gundy was a "show attempt." Haslam & Currie knew Gundy would reject them. They just needed to look like they were trying before going after Dave Doeren. Seriously, Gundy does this every single year. If it's not with Tennessee, it's with another job opening. Even the OK State fans are getting annoyed by it. Every single year, he gets a raise out of it. Tough to blame him when he's had a 100% success rate with the strategy.

Know several OKST people thought it was a real chance this time. No money counter offer so Gundy’s ego didnt get fed. They were worried. Read it several places too.
