On the quarters system, we would start school mid-September and get out first part of December. Then we would go back Jan 2 - mid March for Winter quarter. Take a week off. Then Spring quarter would be Late March through early June. Each quarter was ten weeks long.

I can confirm that UTK was still on quarters in 1984. I think they switched to semesters around 1989ish...something like that.

Mount McCullers has spent two years in Juco. They are on quarters. He is graduating at the end of winter quarter...mid-March. So he will be not be able to enroll at UTK until either Summer or Fall. I assume that he will not be able to participate in spring practice but I do not know that for sure.

He has three years left to play two. I feel very confident that he will play these first two years.

I cannot remember anyone who played any significant role on the team who weighed more than 380 pounds. Henderson and Haynesworth were much lighter than that when they were at UT.

If I missed a question in there, please fire away...

You funny! Neyland, myself and the dirt all arrived at the same time...lol

Yeah, there have always been the negavols. I noticed that there wasn't as many of them around in 1998.

UT switched to semesters in 87 or 88. They converted my quarter hours to semesters. I was there from fall of 85 to fall of 89.
