Indy bouncing NY in the second round would be decidedly bad for the NBA's ratings, so I would think they certainly wouldn't want them going home with a 2-0 lead. There have been pretty clear cases if the NBA's refs affecting the outcome if series in favor if the big market in the past. As a Pacers fan, I hope to god this doesn't happen, but I've watched the NBA for long enough that I'm not going to act surprised if it does.

They're not getting that benefit in this game.

Not sure why Tyler is guarding him. Are they trying let the Knicks in the game?

Anyone who's ever watched the 4th quarter of Game 6 of the 2002 WCF would be an idiot to discount entirely.

Thats 1 game and officiating crew. Some people talk about it in every game. Melo was just called for a charge and given his 5th foul. If the refs really wanted the Knicks to win, they're doing it wrong.

Indeed.

Jesus. 9 minutes to go and the Knicks are already in the bonus. At this point it's just a matter of hanging on for dear life if you're the Pacers.

I think the NBA is willing to let the results play out for real so long as they go the way they want. It's not till you have a ratings monster on the rocks that you would see them get involved. You're never going to have Stern trying to affect the outcome of a Game 1.

I love the music they play at the garden. Should have been a loose bawl fowl on Chandler. Refs need to call things fair.
