From Doug Mathews this morning:
1. UT has 1 INT on 97 opponent pass attempts; and,
2. UT has 3 sacks for -15 yards in 3 games.

That sack stat is incredible. I realize App. St.'s offense didn't allow for a lot of sacks, but 3 through 3 games is incredibly bad. We've got to get significant pressure on the QB this Saturday to have any chance with our banged up LBs and secondary.

Bobby Stoops has had our sack and interception game-plan stored in a lockbox. We plan to open it up on September 24th.

I guess our fans would rather have Jancek and we may have lost 2 of these games bc of his inept 4th down and 4th quarter defense. Shoop has been excellent at halftime adjustments. App State 0 pts 2nd half. Va Tech 3 pts before a garbage TD when we were up 45-17 late 4th. Ohio 7pts otherwise didn't cross the 50 yard line...but yeah lets blame Shoop who also has lost his Kirkland, JRM, Cam - geniuses on this board. Wake up people, Shoop has been great and saved our season.

Like Debord, Shoop will bring out the bag of tricks this week. This staff will bring everything they've got. They know that they absolutely must win this game.

Derek Barnett was awesome yesterday.

3 massive hits on the QB forcing bad throws in key situations.

Better generate some pressure this week or we'll make another backup QB( if he plays) look like Heisman material..

Shoop so far is the only reason we're 3-0.. The defense hasn't looked great but Shoop at least has shown he knows how to make in game adjustments, unlike his counter part on offense.

KY, South Cacky Lackey, North Texas, Mizzu, Vandy, Northwestern, Appy State, Virginia Tech, Ohio.

You know and I know, no one really cares about that if we don't at least go 2-2 over the next 4 games. 9-0 vs cupcakes is all well and good unless the icing on those cupcakes is a 1-4 frosting vs good teams.

Yes our sack totals suck, it's not the type of QB we've played, look at the amount of sacks these 3 teams have given up in their other 2 games! Our D is bad right now. CBJ said he hired Shoop to solve our issues and it would be a seamless transition because the schemes were pretty close, I'm not sure what close means anymore by the way our D is struggling with this scheme.

Debord wouldn't need a bag of tricks if his QB could hit an open receiver more than 10 yards down field. And they've been open. Dobbs has proven to be a gamer and play tough when it's most needed. Hoping for that this weekend.

Nice username and avatar for someone telling others to "act like Tennessee ".

Is that really the best you could come up with? "Uhh yur usrname is Dooley stuff brah."

Sorry that I expect Tennessee to win games against opposition of drastically inferior talent. Beating the likes of Ohio or North Texas does nothing for me. Beat someone worth a damn. Beat Florida and Alabama.
