2 Bold predictions.

I was surprised that Muschamp only makes about $2.3 million while CBJ is closer to $3 m.

With Michigan chasing Harbaugh et al., UF will go after Mullen (MSU currently pays him $3 m/year) and they will get him.

They will not hire an assistant again but will be told by the board to get a HC with a proven track record.

Mullen says he's happy at MSU so that he can drive up the salary. He's not talking directly to UF in any way, shape, or fashion. All of this is being done by his agent. This is also why Muschamp is coach until the end of the season. I'd predict that the coaching decision won't be announced until AFTER the end of MSU's last playoff game for this very reason (Mullen won't want any distractions for his team).

As already stated, his team is laden with graduating seniors (Prescott is a redshirt Junior and will probably go pro after this season) and Florida is the best recruiting state in the country (yes, better than Texas and California). As the former OC at UF, Mullen knows the HS coaches in Florida as well as much of the rest of the SEC.

For years, I've thought he was one of the best HCs in the SEC but needed a 1st rate QB. He'll have his pick of talent at UF.

1) The Tennessee Coaching Staff will announce to the players tomorrow that the Smokey Gray's will be making an appearance for Senior Night this weekend versus Mizzou. They will tell the fan base on Wednesday and it will be CRAZY LOUD in Neyland on Saturday night.

2) Lane Kiffin will be the next coach of the Florida Gators. I said this before the season started (right here on VolNation), that Bama would go 14-2 and Lane would be in Gainesville next year. now just watch it happen.

My bold prediction is that if your #2 comes true, Gator fans will tar and feather Jermy Foley. Not only do they dislike Kiffin, I doubt seriously they want to go with another coordinator, who failed miserably in both CFB and the NFL.

Florida will back up the armored truck to Mullen's house and it will be done in less than 24 hours after the egg bowl.

Foley and Mullen do not see eye-to-eye. Will not happen. Much greater chance Mullen ends up at Michigan than Florida.

It makes perfect sense, his wife is a gator.

I don't understand why people think UF would want Kiffin after USA fired him. It's hard to attribute Bama's success this season to him when they were rolling along just fine before him. Just doesn't add up.

I really think Kiffin will have to remain an OC for a few more years then go to a smaller program for a few years to prove he is truly HC ready.

pump the brakes...I thought the staff already ruled out the possibility of the 'smokey grays' this year. I just don't see it happening mate. OP is crazy

Not saying he won't take the job, but think its fairly well documented that Foley and Mullen do not like each other, and Florida fans wanted Mullen fired at one point while he was there. I don't think Mullen has a lot of love for Florida or its fans from things I have read. I also believe Florida is trying to distance itself from anyone who had anything to do with Meyer.

Dear VolNation,

I am the OP on this thread and given the events of the past 24 hours, i would like to revise my 2 BOLD predictions down to only 1. I don't think there's ANY chance at all that we wear the Smokey Gray unis in light of the suspension of 2 guys and the grey cloud hanging over RockyTop today.

Sorry, i normally don't like to back off of predictions, but given this sudden change of events, i have to pull the trigger on this "back-step".

I don't understand the gray jerseys on Senior night. Put that Orange on for one last time and bow out as every other Vol has done in the past
