Becasue I did not know what to do for tickets.....and I knew this would be aHUGE part of her life so I just went out on a limp...we got tickets so we are set now!!!!

So $50 for a reserrved parking is cool???? It is easier to get out from those spots?? I have a feeling we will want to do some parting afterwards

Just be sure to be settled about 30 minutes before kickoff so you can see the band and running through the T

There is no place for "best parking". It is all worst parking.

Depending on the apathy level you might be able to get tix for about $30-40 apiece area.

Vol Walk is somewhere around 2 hours before kickoff. Someone else could probably answer this better than me.

Best tailgating is in the lots 1 block north of the strip. $35 to park there.

Don't miss Spirit of the Hill by the Pride. Someone else fill in on the time for that one as well. I used to be in it but I never noticed the time we marched.

Oh Contrair! There is awesome $5.00 parking at the Womens Basketball Hall of Fame place. It's about a 20 min walk from the stadium....Can't beat it!

Probably late on this......I used to sell parking in the fort. Its a pretty solid place and if you want to party afterwards you don't have to worry about running back to your car. Probably not the best for someone who has never been there before though. I like going to the river and parking in the lot next to Calhouns. Its a pretty good place to tailgate. with the game being as early as it is and with you wanting to see the Volwalk and the band. you probably won't have a whole lot of time to tailgate at prior to. If you've never been there before I would get to the game in time to see them run through the T as well. If you do this you won't get tickets for cheap. I think its worth it to spend the money and just get there. Try to get a hold of that guy. T is prime. Theres a ton of tailgating spots. Try to get there on Friday and just walk/drive around campus and get a feel for what you have available. Hope this helps some.

If you like to watch plays form you will enjoy the z tickets better. Plus that may be in under the canopy incase of rain. Enjoy the game and GO VOLS!It is still SOOOOO hard to be a Vol fan down here with these crappy Gators!

Actually, I think the forecast is looking pretty good so far -- sunny and warm -- so we probably don't have to worry about rain. It may be a little hot on the east side of the stadium, but if you're looking at the X and T sections, you'll be in the shade.

Those tickets in section T look awesome. I'd go for those.

As for parking, if you get there a few hours before the game, you might have some luck just parking on the street. When I was there for school, I would park on Grand Ave. (north of the stadium at the back edge of the Fort neighborhood -- look on google maps). I also park on the eastern edge of downtown, on Central. It's a long walk, but post-game traffic's easy, and it's free!

Enjoy it! I'm flying in for that one, too. GO VOLS!!!

I'm glad I read this topic. I hope to be making my first trip to Neyland for the TN/SC game if I can get 2 tickets. I am gonna print this info off so I can have it.

Anyone know of anybody with 2 tickets for the game????????

If you want good seats I'd go ahead and buy now and expect to pay over $100 each. Sure you can wait till kickoff and get some endzone seats. But I doubt there's going to be a lot of cheap seats in good locations, even with two losses. TN/GA is always a good game. I'm taking my wife as well, not aniversery, but she's worked every Saturday for about 10 years. I prefer upper deck as long as they're along the flat, sidelines in other words. You get a view that looks like TV, where you never miss anything and it's much easier to hit bathrooms, vending etc. The catacombs behind the lower sections are a nightmare to move around in and trying to take a pee might cost you a whole series.

The best place to park is Chesapeak's (sp?) downtown. It's FREE and it's close. Best of all, it's free. Just go in and eat lunch or get a couple of drinks at the bar and an appetizer. Remember, it's FREE and it's CLOSE.

We might be able to buy one for $50 in G....we have not decided if we will do it or not. How many blocks is that from the strip??

1621 White Ave knoxville, TN - Google Search

Go here and click on the map. This is where G is, just click on Satelite image button on there and you will see, its very close and in a good location. But if your hotel is a distance from campus and you want to get home quickly, this isn't a good option. Traffic will be very bad after the game. But a good location to tailgate, either way, one block from Cumberland.

Lot G is 1 block from the Strip, so you can just hit a bar or two on your way back to the car after the game and miss all that traffic!

me and my brother go to a lot of the big time games (Florida, Georgia, LSU, etc..) and we always park in a parking garage about a couple miles from the stadium for $10 and make the walk across.i personally attend MTSU and make the 3 hour drive and just use a guys student ID that looks like me and sit in the student section so i have no idea on face value but im sure you can look it up on ticketmaster or something and right before kick off expect to pay $20-$50 less.

Ok so now that we are getting things settled, what are the actual SEATS like in T??? Do we need cushions?

Here's the answer to your parking dilemma:

Drive your car to campus. When you see the pedestrian bridge going over cumberland (It says UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEEon it), Turn LEFT.

This is FORT SANDERS...where a lot of students live. Pay to park in someone's yard, introduce yourselves, tell them this is your 1st UT game, you're from Husker land, etc.

Make friends there, and commence to drinking.

If you go park in reserved parking, and at the far end of the strip, etc, you're gonna be with a bunch of old fogeys.

Go park in the fort and party with real students.

for the cushions..i would just wear comfortable shoes since i personally have only sat down at a game to eat a hot dog at half time other than that i was standing and if you dont want to stand it becomes a neccessity since theres a really good chance the people in front of you will be as well. but thats just from experience in the student sections.
