1st Scrimmage of Fall Camp TODAY!

This is the most likely scenario. I doubt Faizon is going to shy away from a battle.

Eventually we will see one of Merk, Mac, or Brandon transfer down the line though. Too much talent to keep on the bench.
If the competition is close I would start Merk or Mac, but it appears Mac is not really in the competition from what I have read, He is not throwing to the ones. It appears to be Merk and Ja. Again if its close I would start Merk, ja only has this one year, and we probalby lose Merk to transfer.

He looked really good in that film. Might be a steal in this recruiting class.

I’m thinking that Morris and Baker have looked good enough to this staff that they could afford to go all in on Hiter in 26, with no backup plan. They figure if they don’t get him, they’ve already got two stud freshmen. But might as well put all your chips in on a talent like Hiter. These two allow them that luxury.

Exactly this. We have 2 SEC starter RBs as freshmen in this 25 class...so CJH did something hes never done before and went ALL IN on RB Hiter. I think Hiter is hands down the best RB in that class too. His film is ridiculous. I knew Morris was a shifty speedster and could definitely tote the rock for us...I had no idea that JB had that much wiggle though. To have that at 5ft11in amd 225lbs as a freshman is crazy. Thats gonna be a nasty 2 piece combo down the road.

Our RB room is LOADED. By all accounts Star Thomas is a baller too...we need to redshirt Morris IMO if not Morris AND Baker. Sounds like Baker might be a lock on special teams though so maybe no shirt for him.

I wouldn’t redshirt anybody. The NCAA is about to give everybody 5 years regardless. Play em as much as you want.

But yeah, agree with the rest of your post. Those two look like great prospects.

You guys that are suggesting McIntyre leaves if he doesnt win the job need to watch yourselves. McIntyre is a Tennessee kid. His family loves Tennessee. He loves Tennessee. He isnt going to let competition or another 5 star qb make him hit the portal
Gmac will start next year I believe

What’s the story behind joey ags throwing a pick 6 to a walk on db
Not sure if anybody outside of the staff and team knows the full film breakdown on this play. They are obviously not going to release it lol.

We didn't have all of the starting WRs out there, with Brazzel and Staley not participating and MM being semi limited through this point in Fall. That makes things more difficult for any QB.

The rumblings I read was he was the most decent out of the 3 QBs. The young GMac looked the best but was against the 2-3s, and the Merkslinger had a rough outing unfortunately.

Time will tell. I think we just have to skate on by with another game manager QB this year.

Who woulda thought the strength of a Josh Heupel team would be the defense? Does that speak more about how far the D has come or how down the O is? I think a little of both maybe but more-so the D. That could be a nasty group. Truth is we don’t know what we have on O yet besides a lot of questions.
I think the coaching has been an asset for us there. The secret sauce for our defense is from Coaches Garner and Chop. Our defensive front is loaded with talent due to their recruiting and coaching. For all his faults, Willie has turned things around for the DBs. McCoy is his prized star right now. He deserves credit for getting him in here and the breakout season he had last year.

And of course Tim Banks has been keeping it all together.

They all deserve a lot of credit.
