About what I expected. Defense being dominant. Our run game still being legit. Pass game still being a question mark. The one positive development is the starting offensive line looking good.

I doubt we play many defenses as good as ours. So if we can muster up even a little something in the pass game moving forward we'll be really tough to beat. As of now, I think we'll be at least as good as we were last year with the potential to be better if we stay healthy and the young guys hit the ground running.

How do you call a defensive line dominant that hasn't played anyone? Yes, they are bringing back some experience but all we can hope for is continuous improvement and no specific group gets whipped. And no injuries.
bc i saw almost all the guys on this D line do it less than 10 months ago

also imagine doubting rodney garner....good luck

" all we can hope for is continuous improvement"....uhh yeh thats been the entire theme constantly since garner got here. Thats exactly what happened.

At this stage just want to hear that there were no injuries
This x 100

Decides success of seasons as much or more than any other reason. We were beat up by End of year last year , WRs were a shell of themselves, Pilli out ( again) was a huge loss , Carter was about 50%. Sampson was hurt for playoffs. 2022 was as healthy a year as I can remember, and had a great team.

Garner is literally a cheat code for guys who want to make it in the league. I'll trust his process over any doubters. You can bet if they played poorly he would be livid and let them have it.

We all knew what a disgrace it was for Gmac to go from Elite 5 star to out of Top 100 by services. When healthy you could see gifted Arm who has incredible touch. Watson Brown glows about his talent. Now not saying he will win the job but the coaches will struggle to redshirt him. Glad he will get snaps against East TN and few others. In CHRIST Alone

I’m expecting it to look similar to last year. Great defense and running game carries the team. And if the passing game shows up at times then great. Just too many questions there right now.

Lol AP said that Aguilar was picked off for a pick 6 by….Colin Brazzell

I don’t know why people keep responding to this directly.

What I listed is what I WANT TO HAPPEN in today’s scrimmage.
Not what actually happened!!

Narratives are interesting. People in Nashville about Cam Ward getting mistakes out of the way early in fall camp. The narrative is that’s what’s supposed to happen. But then JA does it and some folks are like MERKS GONNA WIN THE JOB. Just let the coach make the call.

You want narratives?

What does George Macintyre becoming the starting QB as a true freshman do to our recruiting of Faizon Brandon…?

This is the issue that nobody thought we would be an issue because
- this was supposed to be Nico’s 3rd year
- Merklinger was supposed to be ready
- Joey Aguilar is supposed to be the gift that fell out of the sky with his 7,000 college passing yards.

I’ll be the one to say! If Brandon decomits what would that do to our 2026 class???

I'm sorry but less than 9 months ago I saw a team that couldn't get off the field, couldn't get any pressure, and got ran off the field in the 1st half alone against Ohio State.

I don't get sold bs.

Can this team be good on the DL. Yes

Is it normal to assume you should be better with returning experience? Yes

Did the team lose a lot of talent? Yes

I think it's ridiculous to call a defensive line dominant that hasn't played a real snap this year.

We need to see the pass rush and what happens in physical games. Some physical games they failed the test against last year.
