Hey guys...coming to my first game this weekend and really excited. Driving all the way from East Texas! I was curious about parking..not familiar at all with Neyland and have been told parking stinks. We are planning on getting there around 9:00 AM on Saturday...is this a good time? Any suggestions on parking?

We are going to do the Vol Walk and just whatever else we can find? Any place to grab some lunch ? I heard Calhouns, but also read on her it is big time crowded on game day.

Also staying at this hotel:
Holiday Inn Express Knoxville-Farragut
816 North Campbell Station Road

Anyone know anything about it..says its 15 minutes from the stadium..

If there is anything else you think we should do please let me know...we are first timers!

GO VOLS!

Thanks a lot...waited 32 years to see the Vols in Neyland..cant wait!

It says there is no parking on campus without permit..may sound like a stupid question but where do we park??

I printed off the map that shows parking, but are all these resricted to permit only?

Looks like there is parking by the softball or baseball field? Is this permit only?

yep most of campus parking is going to be permit only. You might try and take advantage of the shuttles too. Heard lots on here have used the Market Square one. Looks like you'll also be close to the bus running to campus from Farragut HS but I have no info on how that one is.

Off Campus Parking/Shuttles
Numerous KAT buses are designated for transporting fans to and from the Civic Coliseum, Old City and Market Square area of downtown at a round-trip cost of $3 per person starting three hours prior to game time. There will be eight buses running from Farragut High School off Campbell Station Road to Neyland Stadium at a round-trip cost of $15 per person starting three hours prior to game time. There is also a fare-free shuttle from the Ag Campus.
besides that you can go down Neyland drive and there is parking at Calhoun's, a garage across the street from Calhouns and a church that has a lot open to the public (we used to park there every week but can't remember the name). There are also a few places on the strip that you can pay.

Well we are planning on being there around 9:00 AM so not sure the shuttle thing will work for us..
