Left coast leading the way in limiting 1st Amendment rights. Limiting assembly and requiring "social distancing" for events smaller than 250.

I was about to read this post but a liberal swat team rappelled through my kitchen window and swatted my eyes with gay pride flags until I went blind.

I bet it was a very smart, constructive and informed opinion that would prompt the sort of egalitarian discourse which betters the social fabric of our great nation, but now I'll never know.

I just heard about this today. A client in Washington state mentioned it. I promised not to tell Big Brother if he didn't. It isn't a permanent limit to assembly...just more CV hysteria.

Related, the NCAA canceled spectators from the final four in Atlanta in April.

NCAA is not a government entity. The assembly issue should be at the discretion of the entities holding the events NOT the government. It is a DIRECT violation of 1st Amendment rights. I see two of the more well known liberals jumped in with ignorance. I know it's a little dramatic but it is straight up correct.

Sorry about your eyes. Did the flags make you gay tho?

Well, "red" state Ohio ups the ante to 100+. This should show everyone how flimsy the Constitution actually is without the will to enforce it.

Disappointed. I thought this thread was going to be about the YouTube 1A auditors like James Freeman, Johnny 5-0, and Furry Potato. News Now Houston and Big Nick as well.

Background checks and Red flag medical evaluations before one can purchase their Assembly permit after the 3 day waiting period in our future???

I'm drawing no conclusions. Just making the statement that states are now in direct violation of the Constitution. If something like this "threat" can sweep aside the 1st Amendment then we are on shaky ground.

I'm really not feeling overly oppressed about this.
There will always be a segment of the population that believe the government can and will protect them from themselves. Unfortunately, in this country, it is growing by leaps and bounds.

Is this a Coronavirus thing? Is there a link to what the outrage is about? Right now this is LG level foolishness in my book.
