whats your husbsand into now ?

If your talking to me he was in Orlando where we live. The girls stayed in a hotel with their team, and we had our own and partied all weekend. We did show up to watch them perform like good mothers.:dance2:

Well I truly hope that if the poster is indeed the real Mrs. Peebles that the authorities can recover the ring and return it to it's rightful owner.

If it was stolen, I hope they can get it back for him, or that there's some way UT can have a new one made.

Don't matter how much he played. He busted his butt like everyone else on that team, and earned it.

Vader, what part of Texas? I just got back from dallas this past weekend for my daughters cheerleading compititon. Very disappointed, I thought it was going to be like the J.R. and Sue Ellen days. I did make it to Gilly's with a bunch of friends to be called a Cougar by a bunch of cowboys.
I live between Dallas and Ft. Worth in a community near the airport.

You should get a shirt with this on it.

I really hate to see people part with something that is so inextricably tied to pride in our University and in the athletic program, but I think we all need to step back and consider all the possibilities before being so judgmental. We don't know this person and don't know what kind of hard times this guy has come upon. Clearly, he's not playing for the NFL, so his financial situation might be extremely bad right now.

If you had that ring (as your last valuable asset) and your child needed life-saving surgery, or you and your family were about to get evicted from your home, or your grandmother died and needed a proper funeral, wouldn't you sell it too?

Sure there's a chance this guy just doesn't feel attached to it and the profit he seeks isn't motivated by any sort of emergency or necessity, but all I'm saying is that we shouldn't assume that's the case every time we see one of these things on Ebay.

While your statement is true for most instances of this nature, please go back and read the end of page 3 and th ebeginning of page 4. He is not selling the ring. The ring was stolen and whoever stole it is selling it.

I can't get over how rude people were on here about Antron Peebles without knowing the real story.

No kidding.

I found a nice championship ring on eBay some time ago and passed the info on to my brother, who is friends with the person whose ring it was. Last I heard, it was "being investigated".

When I see auctions like this, I wonder why the person is selling it?? It actually makes me kind of sad because why would you ever part with something like this unless you really really had to???????

i can't imagine someone who was an analyst for a cable sports show as recently as three months ago is so strapped for cash he's selling his ring.

That was just the first name to come to mind. Who else was a 2 year starter that went to the NFL (for any amount of time)
