I knew we were doomed when UF scored on the 4th down from almost midfield that they went for it.

me and my best friend drove up from nashville, couldnt find an "affordable" ticket, so we watched the first half in O'Charleys on the strip with about 100 fla students. talk about hell on earth.

It wasn't too great in the stadium either.

The thing I remember about that game was an offensive lineman (I do forget who) was injured about half way through the game. The offensive line seemed to do a much better job once the reserve lineman came into the game. The reserve offensive lineman -- Chad Clifton!

The only good thing about this game was Peerless Price introducing himself to the college football world.

Chavis was a good DC once he settled into the position but during those early years after his promotion in 1995, his on the job training was brutal. Chavis gave me the same impression that CPF did, when it comes to big games on the national stage, the team was lacking in fundamentals, discipline and the simple basics of football 101.

I remember this was the first game my mom let me drive to alone, was my first time ever driving out of town. I was so excited,went with two of my friends then we got really cheap tickets off of a scalper i was on cloud 9..

Then the game started...

Then came the Emory & Henry formation and the entire UT staff had a brain cramp.

That was easily the most "hyped" game ever in Neyland Stadium, I remember starting to get excited about that game in January. nothing has compared since. It also was the biggest letdown of all time.

I've never seen a Tennessee team that was so "tight", and an opponent that was so loose. That game was the Pinnacle of Spurrier toying with Fulmer.

I saw that it was on TV last night. I decided to have my wife take a 2 iron to my groin for 3 hours rather than watch that game again.

Spurrier always toyed with Fulmer. Fulmer got it done a couple years later and was still simply an atrocious football coach.
