Evaluation Notes: Charles Thomas had a huge freshman season. He stays around the football. He has great instincts, he indentifies the ball carrier quickly, and he attacks. He is not the tallest linebacker, but he has a good build, he is solid, and he is strong. He has good lateral quickness and he chases the ball sideline to sideline. His tackling skills are very good for a sophomore — he wraps up, he tackles low, and not many get away from his grasp. Thomas is a very active linebacker who is advanced at shedding blocks, and playing thin to get by would-be blockers in the trenches.
