Jarek Campbell has known since the first time he visited Tennessee’s campus that he was going to give strong consideration to the Vols throughout the recruiting process.
His opinion of them only has improved since then.
The three-star junior athlete from Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., said he has continued to see plenty of Tennessee since getting his first scholarship offer from the Vols in March, and he keeps “liking it more and more” each time he’s there.
“The first time I went there, I knew it was going to be one of my schools that I want to go to most,” Campbell said during a recent National Playmakers Academy open workout at Tennessee State University.
“I went to a lot of Tennessee games (this season), actually. I went to Alabama. I went to Florida — the big games, pretty much. It felt good. I really like it up there.”
The 6-foot, 195-pound Campbell has received offers from Tennessee, Kentucky and Memphis, and he said “UT and Memphis are really the ones talking to me” regularly. He said Vols offensive quality control assistant Walt Wells stopped at Riverdale each of the past two weeks to check on him, along with teammate D’Andre Litaker, a four-star junior defensive tackle.
Campbell said he also attended Auburn’s home opener against Clemson, Kentucky’s home game against Auburn and Vanderbilt’s home win over Tennessee on Nov. 26 in the regular-season finale for both teams — a game he left at halftime, he said, “because it was freezing.”
But Campbell hasn’t been to any other school quite as often as he has been to Tennessee. He said he already has visited the Vols “probably about six or seven times.”
He was particularly impressed by his visit for Tennessee’s 38-28 win over Florida, the Vols’ first victory over the rival Gators since 2004.
“It was the best game I went to this year,” said Campbell, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 680 overall prospect and No. 99 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite for the 2018 class. “(I liked) how they executed and came back on them after halftime.”

Tennessee seems to like him as WR some of the recruiting experts think his best position is safety

Whatever they're putting in the water or air in Murfreesboro, we need to get it to the rest of the state!! Unreal the athletes coming out of there.

Unfortunately, With the growth of Nashville it’s become not affordable to a lot of families. The influx of those families has moved to the Antioch and Rutherford county areas. Hence the great season Cane Ridge had this year and large amount of talent Rutherford county.
