4.3 is world class.
I always doubt that kind of result
I'd say it's hand timed, so add .15 most of the time, but running 4.46 at 212 lbs is blazing.
Yep. It's hard to know what a guy's true 40 time is until his pro day/combine. A lot of 4.3/4.4 guys end up running 4.5s every year at those.
Doesn't mean Teague's numbers aren't legit, of course. But I'd be really surprised if his true 40 time is quite that low. Im pretty sure that would've tied for the fastest RB in 40 of the past 3/4 combines
Once players put on weight in college a lot of them slow down. A lot of legit 4.3 kids in HS but they are 150-160lbs. And 30-50lbs to that 4.3 and let's see what they run afterwards. That's what happens in college. That's why college coaches want the guy who's big and already fast. Means he won't have to hope he keeps his speed while adding muscle.

The first 3 and 1/2 minutes of his HUDL is just him scoring TDs from 40 yds or more. I don't remember seeing him actually get tackled until about 3:35. He is fast and does not get taken down easily. Looks a lot like AK in the sense that he just is very difficult to tackle. I would be thrilled with this kid as one or even as our only RB. I think we take two this year but if we only took one, I wouldn't mind in the least if it was MT. He real good.
Not getting Chaney's attention otherwise. Was he remotely that obese at Tennessee? That dude is easily pushing 4 bills.
Yes Chaney has always been big like this. In college I believe he played NT at a school in Missouri and was larger than life. While at UT Kiffin got him to shed a few lbs but when I last saw him he looked like a Thanksgiving Day parade float. Regardless he's a really good guy.
there was a video of it. I remember seeing it and it was laser timed. Hurd's speed was legit before coming to UT and turning into a plodder.
