'18 TN RB Master Teague

So why do some people not think he is elite? Tape looks pretty dang good to me. Not to mention he made Maryville D look silly three times in the first couple of minutes of his tape.

4.3 is world class.

I always doubt that kind of result

Yep. It's hard to know what a guy's true 40 time is until his pro day/combine. A lot of 4.3/4.4 guys end up running 4.5s every year at those.

Doesn't mean Teague's numbers aren't legit, of course. But I'd be really surprised if his true 40 time is quite that low. Im pretty sure that would've tied for the fastest RB in 40 of the past 3/4 combines

I'd say it's hand timed, so add .15 most of the time, but running 4.46 at 212 lbs is blazing.

He's really fast. I've seen him several times in person. Actually it's his vision and patience that I enjoy watching. He has a knack for allowing the hole to form then he gone.

Big kid

I think he's going to be a star wherever he goes. Just hope it's not to your bulldogs.

Once players put on weight in college a lot of them slow down. A lot of legit 4.3 kids in HS but they are 150-160lbs. And 30-50lbs to that 4.3 and let's see what they run afterwards. That's what happens in college. That's why college coaches want the guy who's big and already fast. Means he won't have to hope he keeps his speed while adding muscle.

David Oku comes to mind.

Teague weighs in at 212lbs and runs low 4:4s to high 4:3s on his 40 and has at nearly every camp he has been to. Vandy, UT, Ga,Nike and now Bama...even if every camp is hand timed and slightly off...He is still one of the fastest; strongest backs in the class. Enough so that he is being watched or offered by nearly every top program in the country

The first 3 and 1/2 minutes of his HUDL is just him scoring TDs from 40 yds or more. I don't remember seeing him actually get tackled until about 3:35. He is fast and does not get taken down easily. Looks a lot like AK in the sense that he just is very difficult to tackle. I would be thrilled with this kid as one or even as our only RB. I think we take two this year but if we only took one, I wouldn't mind in the least if it was MT. He real good.

We take at least two.

My hope is that those two are Teague and Dixon.

Not getting Chaney's attention otherwise. Was he remotely that obese at Tennessee? That dude is easily pushing 4 bills.

Yes Chaney has always been big like this. In college I believe he played NT at a school in Missouri and was larger than life. While at UT Kiffin got him to shed a few lbs but when I last saw him he looked like a Thanksgiving Day parade float. Regardless he's a really good guy.

Has he been by lately? He's shed some weight again.

there was a video of it. I remember seeing it and it was laser timed. Hurd's speed was legit before coming to UT and turning into a plodder.

When Malone chased him down from 15 yards behind I had my questions if he was even a 4.5 guy. Whatever Malone ran at pro day you can add .3 or .4 to that and this was in high school.

It's a shame that he's not feeling the home state school but that why we are all different. My son can't stand UT because I am so passionate about UT football. He asked what team I didn't like. I told him the team that doesn't where Orange and White.
