If we flip him it will be an unreal class. Apparently the posters in this thread don't think it's a big deal that an uncommitted prospect is trying to recruit him to Tn. Call me crazy, but I think that's pretty significant

No you seemed to have rustled jimmies that he would dare recruit for UT without having the decency to publicly declare to ease your worried mind.

Emerson recruiting Davis is definitely significant and tells us he will be a Vol and will commit when the time is right and is working hard for us.

That's what happens when you assume things. I was very excited that he is recruiting for UT, just not sure how he can recruit for us while not being committed to us, unless he's telling those guys he's committed but isn't announcing until December, which is possible if not likely

Could be waiting to see what happens this season. Could have been asked by a site to do an announcement at a particular time. Could be doing it for his teammates and community to keep coaches in area to see others. Could have his own special reason.

No telling with kids these days and what goes on behind scenes. My opinion is he wants to enjoy the process.

A ton of positive news in their podcast today. Things sound really good with Emerson and Litaker for Tennessee.

And as skeptical as I remain, it sounded like they are still confident they are going to land Martinez in the next week or two.

Also, sounded really good with Anderson and Lampley in the '19 class.

The only bad news I heard was them saying Trey Knox will be a can't miss 5* next year and it sounds like UF and OSU are out front now because of his trainer who played at UF and is pushing him to either of those two schools.

Oh yeah they do think Carvin is still leaning to Bama, but Tennessee has at least made up some ground. I think it was Hubbs though who actually speculated that Bama might recruit over Davis.

I felt the same way about the podcast. But, it seemed to me like the Vols might have a chance with Knox now whereas before I heard they had no shot.
