Awesome as it would be, I'm thinking chances are probably really low this early. I'd be happy to start with one of them this week. The others can just come in when they are ready.

Per Austin price Emerson stayed the night last night and is staying the night tonight as well which is why they haven't spoken with him yet. Really good sign that he's staying two nights.

“It was a great (visit),” Emerson told Volquest. "I came up a day early to see coach Wells. Then the day after they had their Junior Day. “I enjoyed it. I never knew coach Wells was from Tennessee. That has a lot to do with our relationship. He lived two hours from where I stay. It was good information to know.”

“Coach Jones and his staff made us feel very welcome,” said Tina Emerson, Greg’s mom. “The atmosphere was great. They’re very strong about education. That’s big.” "Being an in-state player, keeping the state, the way coach Jones put it, it made good sense,” he explained.

“Keep the in-state players in-state to play ball because I mean as you can clearly see, most of the Georgia teams kept the Georgia boys. Florida, Florida boys. Ohio, Ohio boys. The way he see it, it’s a battle of the states, so that made a lot of sense.”

Ohio State and Alabama are Tennessee’s top competition for Emerson, but one of the Vols’ advantages is the defensive lineman’s relationship with fellow in-state hosses D’Andre Litaker (Riverdale) and Brant Lawless (Nashville Christian).

The trio have a text-chain, and hope to play together at the next level. “The bond between us is great,” Emerson said. “It’s great to have in-state players that you can bond with. We all can play the same position, go on the field at the same time. It’s a bond like no other. We bonded instantly when we had our group text.”

Emerson stopped in Nashville at NPA event on his way home today so Austin Price got a video interview and put it up on VQ...Emerson said it was a great visit, his expectations were high and they met all those, enjoyed meeting Hoke and Wells for first time, it felt like home, home state school making him priority #1 feels good. His father, who passed when he was younger, was a Vol fan and he remembers that, his mother is his backbone and he puts family first. Seems like a good kid, always smiling and having fun type. Also had on a nice jacket...

We had our annual OL/DL camp today and were blessed by the presence of Greg Emerson who came draped in UT gear rolling with Dandre who slid into Knoxville briefly after the Louisville trip. These guys are extremely close and want to play together in college.

I know most real recruits get stuff all the time. But really there's no way of knowing if he had or if they gv it to him in Knoxville, but to answer your question its not illegal.

HA! Prospects getting gear is SUPER illegal. The barn just got hit with some of that action. It does happen ALL the time though. Usually there is a school shop off campus that everybody gets to "visit" when they come in. Yes happens all the time, yes highly illegal.
