'18 GA WR/S Jatavious Harris (UT commit 4.23.17)

Love this kid! Head recruiter for this class

Yes, sir. He must already have a good relationship with Martinez, which can't hurt. It looks like Martinez is going to join him, in peer recruiting. This class is Top 10 right now and I expect it to only get better

All the instate guys are enough to keep us in top 10. Wonder if there are any out of state guys that we'll get that will push us into the top 5

Possibly, your boy, Lyn-J, the linebacker from DKjr's high school, the DT, PJ Mustifer(sp.?) and the LB, Xavier out of Ohio

Litaker, Emerson, Harris are 3 more guys that will just add too this great recruiting class. The instate recruiting this year is going a lot better than last year

Ran a 10.65 100m today at the GHSA state championship track meet shared the state championship with UGA commit Eric Stokes, but a 6'3 185 lb that's moving for a big kid

Even if he had to share the championship, this kid has WINNER, written all over him. Other recruits must love him, too. He seems like our best peer recruiter

Kid looks like a sure 4star talent. Puts me in the mind frame of Jennings. Butch is recruiting like his first 2 years with this class

Guess it's alright with you that a former 5* WR only had one good season while he played here....

A lot of times it takes WRs a couple of years until they "breakout". Robert Meacham was the exact same way for example. There is nothing wrong with that as it's the hardest position to transition from HS to college IMO because of the complexity of routes, defenses, and the timing that it takes to be a great player at the SEC level.

Would I have liked to seen Malone come back for one more year and do it again? Of course because I think he's just now scratching the surface of his potential. And selfishly I want him back to have our 2 best receivers back in orange for another year.

But do I blame him for taking the jump to the NFL when he did? Not at all. He's making the money while he can. Who knows if he would have a seviere injury if he came back. He'd also be playing with a new QB and who knows if that would have hurt his stock. The team got some really good production out of him and he did what he thought was best for him and his family. Can't blame him for that.

He was also drafted pretty highly which can't be said for some other highly rated receivers that declared this year and weren't even drafted like: Travis Rudolph from FSU - who we recruited hard, Speedy Noil TAMU, and Ricky Seals-Jones TAMU, just to name a few.

This is what happens you have 6 guys drafted including a first rounder.

The negative recruiting of having no draft picks over the last two years hurt us big time.

People just didn't want to believe it But getting to the NFL is the #1 thing with most kids.

Harris has that breakaway speed, so he reminds me more of Malone. Hopefully, he has that Dog in him, like Jennings. Either way, I think, he will contribute as a freshman. Plus, this kid, peer recruits like Vic Wharton and that's a good thing, even though, Vic's gone. Kind of funny that Vic's at Cal, which lost Adrian and Harris is committed to UT and now, Adrian is committed to us.

Hell, too many beers, starting to reach on weird connections and coincidences

This young man is going to do big things in Tennessee.

He's an outstanding athlete, a proven winner, and is coming in the same class we land two talented quarterbacks.

If he gives his all to Tennessee, he will end up playing on Sundays.

Does he even 400m, bro?

lol I believe they did win the 4 x 400 as well. So, in a word, yes.

Bump. The voice of the 2018 recruiting class, Jatavious Harris, deserves to stay on the 1st page of the Recruiting Forum. Just by his track accomplishments alone, u have to figure when it's all said and done, Harris will be a consensus 4 star. That kind of speed, with his size, makes an ideal SEC WR, imo. Plus, he's my favorite 2018 recruit
