This TN basketball team needs to pick it up....not a great 2nd half effort against TN tech.

As a side note I am still not sold on Barnes. Granted he rubbed me the wrong way earlier this year at an event so I am probably still holding a grudge there.

Haha you are. he's a good dude. met him on campus

First off I am an official donor and very proud to be. However I am also involved in non official TN business which has been a part of my family since I was a young child. My father was very active in unsanctioned business in Knoxville for almost three decades..

As a larger donor (6 figures a year and with non cash donations of other things over 7 figures). On the non cash side I lend my aircraft to the University for a variety of TN FUND "missions".

I can tell you I do this purely for a few reasons.

1. Access to premium seating and parking both home and away. This includes access to players, coaches, and special events.
2. Incredible tax benefits while gaining facility use.
3. Anything that helps or contributes to the well being of knoxville and the state of tn (which our football program has a tremendous effect on the local economy) I am all for and will gladly support.
4. The university was near and dear to my old man...he was deeply involved as a donor and behind the scenes guy in the 70's, 80's and early 90's. I went to every home game and countless away games with him. To this day I still have the seats that I used to sit in with him growing up as a kid...so he instilled it in me from the moment I was born.

I will say on the whole I don't agree that most mega donors do things to benefit their own business certainly there are some local guys who take that into account considering the write off for some of the things they do.

At least that is my opinion and gives you all a little background as to why this place is so special to me and why I am involved on many levels.

And there you have it

As a Vol fan stuck in Alabama and have no access to UT info other than what I get on here, I thank you for what you do for UT and especially thanks for the info you bring..

What his time frame for committing
Uga feels very very confident right now
But even most them concede it's clemson

Why would he go to Clemson with Johnson going there this year? I understand Lawrence can Redshirt and get 2 years of PT. But, he could come here and possibly win the job outright his redshirt Fr year, if Guarantano leaves early. But, Bama has the #1 & #6 RB's committed for this year, along with the #4 & #5 OT, #2 & #6 OLB & the list goes on, so.....

Thank you and your family in playing a key role in helping create my greatest sports memories. My Dad was a state champion coach here in Tn. He passed away this year and we talked all the time about our fondest memories of the Vols. i.e. 85 Sugar Bowl:dance2:

Because he knows Hunter Johnson sucks just like anybody else that watches his games. Whatever a "gamer" is, Johnson is the opposite.

Ahh this must be how they get coaches in for secret interviews.

We're going to need the tail number for future tracking purposes

He will be sitting a while behind Zerrick Cooper who will be a RS FR next year and has supposedly looked great in practice. He fits their offense perfectly.

Volquest says he feels like he doesn't fit our system....atlvol did he mentioned anything about concerns in our offense?????
