He's essentially a mini-Dobbs.

I wouldn't say better fit than Emory. I would put in them in same category. Emory his the better passer while fields is better runner. Emory can run fine and fields can throw well. So it evens out for me. Both are better fits than Trevor. I'd love to have any of those 3

No. The "scheme" talk is over blown. Dobbs has sat in the pocket a lot this year and been more of a passer than runner. Our WR's have been doing very good even though "they don't fit the system". You saw what happened when we have a good running game. A good Oline to block for Lawrence with our WR's would destroy any defense we play.

No disrespect to Fields, he's great but Lawrence is in another level

Agreed. If you can get the best players, you tailor the scheme to them. Look at Worley. He was the opposite of mobile, had no talent around him, and the offense moved respectably in several games. Lawrence is better, more mobile, would have better OL and RBs than Worley.

I don't think Emory is that good a runner at all. He reminds me of Jameis Winston. Pure pocket passer IMO.

Wow. No disrespect but we have no idea if thats really true. We have not had a gunslinger since Butch has gotten here. If you look at his recruiting, Butch has recruited traditional pocket passers quite frequently. Guys like Lawrence dont come around every class.

Agree 100% with you. Lawrence can really sling it & QB's of his type only come around once every 5-10 years or more.

look at the type of QBs we are recruiting. It pretty obvious the type of QB this staff prefers

I love pro-style QBs more than any others when I watch games however I have reluctantly come to believe dual threat QB's give you a better chance at winning on the college level. This trend is really hurting the pro game because you have to be extremely accurate in the league.
