'18 GA QB Emory Jones (Ohio State commit)

Yeah I agree. Kendall was by no means just an average Qb though.

Was ecstatic to land him. Wonder how Oklahoma's numbers game is working for him? Mayfield should still be there his RS freshman season and Kyler Murray his competition for the two succeeding years?

He may not, but of course he left of some other things that he might like that UT can offer that OSU can't. Like playing in the SEC, the best conference in football, playing a real schedule....the football he grew up around. Right now, the only thing OSU has over us is that they are already firing on all cylinders and winning. If we do what we are supposed to do this year and turn the corner then it's all Tennessee. He can see how huge, faithful, and passionate this fan base is/has been during the worst period in our history. He knows it will be something special to be a part of what it's like when we are back on top. The best fans/fan base in college football. The one advantage OSU has, will be nullified this year.

Is there any homer in this post? Asking for a friend.

I think that he will do well in their offense.

No rebuttaI? didn't think so..... But anyway, tell your friend yes... But at least mine are done on MY teams board.

Yes. I have a deep desire to get into an argument about "the best fanbase in the country" on a Tennessee vols board. As well as the benefits of choosing another school than yours. I'm sure that will be fruitful.

Oh, and I'm not a homer fwiw. not on this board or any other board.

It's tough for some to comprehend there are good things outside of Tennessee. While I get why some recruits decide to take the harder route to the pros via the SEC gauntlet, I also understand why a lot choose to go another route. Does the NFL really care if you played in the SEC or another conference if you're a star? Nope.

Agree. I am always amazed when a dude pops up and goes top 5 from freaking North Dakota state lol.

Oh and fwiw osu 247 has a $$ article up that claims to have info about Meyer speaking to EJ today. I don't have vip there, just giving a heads up for those that do.

Knowing osu 247 it's not much substance and lots of clickbait though.

Apparently not in Ohio seeing as though so many of them have migrated to the state of Tennessee.

I have always heard that South Carolinians HATE the state of Ohio because the vast majority migrate there.

If you are seeing it in Tennessee too.... Uh oh

We takin this whole sh*t ova!

Edit: if you see an osu bar, make sure you stay out on game day unless you want to hear how to spell O-H-I-O for 3 hours...

If I'm not mistaken, Austin Kendall is now at Memphis coming from a juco. Should keep their offense running at a high level considering the competition they play.

NM: I'm thinking of Riley Ferguson

Nice. Didn't know that. I'm curious to see how Memphis does this year and how their former coach does at VT.

If you have to ask, I don't know what to tell you.

Rhetorical question:

A question that you ask without expecting an answer. The question might be one that does not have an answer. It might also be one that has an obvious answer but you have asked the question to make a point, to persuade or for literary effect.

I've lived in Charleston for the last ten years or so and the Ohio hate is for real

They even have a "go back to Ohio" day at the local single a ballpark
