This is why I wasn't in the NBD mindset when Johnson decommited. No guarantees or 100% locks.

Still, should be plenty of time to find an elite QB for '18.

Same here. I always felt uneasy about Lawrence as well for some reason. Hopefully they can find another elite '18 QB but it's going to be hard finding one the level of EJ.

One to watch is Cade Fortin, he is/was ranked a high 3 star (last I looked) but in my most humble opinion :) he won't stay there. He will be a 4 star and imo will be at least a mid 4 star, top 10 qb in 2018. He is just now doing the camps and doing quite well. He has better accuracy than EJ but not as mobile, which I don't think anyone is in 18. As far as Dual QB, there is a kid in 2018 that goes to the same school that Sean Young went to if you recall him. But he is a top 15 Dual guy.

As far as 17 guys, not much left on the bone except slim pickens, and I think slim just committed to N Dakota St, which btw, is a great program. Plenty guys left for the 2018 class.

As for EJ, his coach says he is ready to pull the trigger. He mentioned distance and as I've said all along, I think his mom plays a bigger role than OSU wants to believe. She doesn't want to 'stand in his way' BUT if momma ain't happy...you fill in the rest

He has already spoke with OSU coaches this week. Topic of conversation? Did he tell them he's coming or thanks, but no thanks? Who the heck knows, think I'll go buy a turtle and see if it has any info.

While I'm not saying that isn't true, that was wrote by an OSU writer. If he had said, mom gave her blessing, then I'd grab the white flag. She doesn't want him going to far, he said it himself that she won't let Ga out of the picture because it would be easy to see him play. Now, she is going to let him go all the way to Columbus?

I'll say it, if he goes there, so does she.

He signs in about 19 months. I think wherever he commits it's not over. I think Paul said it best on the podcast today. He seems to be telling people and and around both schools what he thinks they want to hear

Needs to delay his commitment. He's clearly conflicted and needs to take his time. No rush since his NSD is a few more weeks away.

Agree. I just don't get the rush either way.

I get that a QB wants to commit early and recruit for his class, but what good does recruiting for your class if you aren't 100% sure about your choice?

It happens so often too.... I don't get it.
