You probably are 100% correct. Wealthy people love to throw money around and brag about it. The NCAA knows all of this stuff goes on...they just pick and choose who and when they want to go after someone. It's another reason college football goes in cycles for the truly elite, big programs.

I was told when they saw the worm turn on Cowart's that there was no way they would lose to Ole Miss on Jefferson.

Auburn has been as much of a thorn in the side to Florida as they've been to us.

His Dad received a hell of a price from Ole Miss. CeCe always liked Florida from get go. I'm sure it was less than OM but higher than they may have wanted.

Stuff is crazy with recruiting. If we all knew the deal we might not like the sport as much.

Do we pass on a quarterback in 17 to ensure either Jones or Lawrence that they'll have a chance to compete right away?

I don't think it matters. Looks like Butch wants a QB this class and will sign one. It is likely just a depth guy, not a real threat to fight for the starting spot. There isn't a '17 QB IMO who would impact Jones or Lawrence from being a Vol if they really wanted in. I just don't think either wants to be that guy. Or at least not at this point. Long way to go for the '18 class.

Most thought Dobbs was nothing more than an afterthought as well. Stars go away on the 1st day of June.

If anything might give EJ pause and make him think long and hard about UT it will be Cade, who will most likely be the top OL and a top 10 overall player in their class. With Case in his ear letting EJ know he will be protecting him if he comes to UT I like our chances.
