thats pretty much going to happen unless he wins, QD leaves or is injured.

Freshman=RS
RS Freshman= Back up
RS Soph= back up/lost to transfer
RS Junior= starter/starter

Yeah I remember all the Trubisky hype. He got an entire vote for preseason ACC team.

One of the biggest knocks on Trubisky in draft process was his lack of experience. I get that it worked out for him, but he was top dog in a year of really bad options, and the most QB hungry team, the Browns, still didn't take him at #1 when they could.

Next year, Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen all loom large. Dormady won't have that immediate clear path Trubisky had, and his lack of experience will greatly hinder his development. He'd be much better off developing in college. I don't think he'll even have a decision to make because I don't think he'll play well enough to warrant 1st rd talk. Trubisky had 3 NFL WRs to throw too. If QD does have that decision to make somehow, I won't blame him at all for getting the money. I just don't think it would be in his best football interest.

All JMO obviously.

Still, one more than Dormady and u did have DeShawn Watson at Clemson, so that's crazy hype, to me. I watched UNC's 1st game and I thought the announcers had to take their kneepads off and wipe off their mouths before the game started. In fact, when they showed the announcers before the game, one of 'em looked like Cameron Diaz in "Something About Mary" when she used Ben Stiller's "hair gel".

So what's your point here? Trubisky had no hype? Or Trubisky deserved his draft position? Or I'm not giving Dormady enough credit? Or U just like being a smarta$$?

Because we didn't have a QB committed in the class? Why would the coaches risk going after a kid with mild interest looking at other schools who picked another school over us as opposed to 2 4 star QBs that want to be here? What happens if Martinez or Penix or both start looking around and we end up with nothing? Not to mention, there are questions about this kid's work ethic. Sometimes it's best not to be greedy.
