did any of them have the athletic director changed in the middle of the search after having fan protests that prevented Greg Schiano from being hired, while the outgoing AD was playing whack a mole with coaching candidates from coast to coast??? and be asked to clean up after that kind of mess, while the team that you're taking over had the worst season in it's program's history?

They've all had their coaches in place longer to build those classes, and all but one of the teams are coming off of bowl-eligible seasons.

They have Jake Fromm and a healthy Nick Chubb when we got lucky and beat them on a Hail Mary? They also had another top 3 freshman class on the team that helped mopped the floor with Tennessee last year. Not to mention a year of development. The Georgia team last year was not the same team we beat two years in a row. They went 8-5 in 2017. How'd they end up last year hoss?

That is true. But just solely off name and reputation, JP would have been up there with any Assistant Coach. Took Kirby a lot longer as a DC to get his first HC job. Smart has a much easier job at GA with all the HS talent in that state.

This is what happens when you need a big splash hire and do the opposite. I hope Pruitt does great here but he’s gonna have to show results on the field as a HC before he lands big time recruits. Next year’s class will be more telling. He gets a pass this year

No more complete passes. He needed to finish well here. Doesn't mean he signs everybody who visited but needs to finish well. Still more concerned with how he finishes at the end of the next football season however.
