'18 GA LB Quay Walker (UGA signee)

-Callahan on why he hasn’t put in a TN CB

Hope making a move does not mean putting up more money, because with the barn, that is what it often does mean. I am not talking gossip. Their act has been reported by legit journalists.

“All eyes were on the Walker visit and he tweeted himself it was a GREAT visit. After talking to some people, we believe Tennessee is positioned nicely. Both Alabama and Auburn sources have expressed pessimism on their chances, but Tennessee still has one final hurdle to clear. Georgia is going to get the final say with Walker’s OV to Athens this weekend. ”

Real Auburn insiders are expressing pessimism as third sentence indicates.

"Just judging by the way he's been the past week, he seems to be a little bit more comfortable with things and he seems to be a little more (at ease)," said Brad Harber, Walker's high school coach. "With that said, I think that he's very close to knowing what school he wants to attend."

Though the Cordele, Georgia native remains committed to Alabama, the feeling for at least some familiar with his recruitment is that Tennessee is probably the favorite to land him at this point.

Another item in that article:

"Though Walker took an official visit to Auburn last weekend, Harber doesn't think the Tigers are in the mix."

Quay and JJ want to play together.

We used to have the Ernie and Bernie show and now roughly 40 years later we're gonna have the JJ and Quay show...
Maybe Quay-Jay on Display... gonna have fun with it until I get shot down.

This recruitment along with Peterson’s highlights a major difference between Tennessee and Alabama. We land both guys and it is arguably the best LB duo we’ve landed in maybe 20 years. Alabama lands these caliber of LBs pretty much every year.

Hopefully we can close the gap on this front and many more.

I’m ready to have a run defense!

Reynolds and Kiner is perhaps a better analogy.

Actually don’t mind that Quay will be the only OV this weekend. No other commits around for him to hang with.

I actually think being the only OV will work against UGA. It will send off a weird vibe and put so much pressure on him that he will be turned off.

I have no idea where Quay will end up. However, I'm quite certain early enrollees Justin Fields and Brenton Cox will be in his ear, and work in Georgia's favor. It may not be enough to get him to sign with Georgia, but my guess is his visit will be a good one. I still say watch out for Auburn. They typically come into Georgia every year and sign one top ranked recruit right at the end. My gut feeling is that if Walker's recruitment turns into a bidding war, Georgia will back away because OLB isn't a pressing need in this class.

That's the rumor from ground zero...from people who live in his hometown. I always pay attention to chatter coming from people who live and work in a recruit's hometown. We'll know for sure about Peterson on Wednesday.

Comeback when you have some cred....otherwise move on.

I think this kid wants to be a Vol and right now he may be one.

But Auburn scares the hell out of me.

Just a wildcard? 😓

“Tennessee, to me, is that wild card,” Harber said in the interview. “Tennessee wasn’t even really on the map at all, but you have all these guys that Quay’s familiar with and now they’re all at Tennessee.”

I think he just means we came into the picture late. The rest of his quote sounds good
