I just have no idea how Currie will react to any of those. That's the wild card.

Personally, I don't think his seat is hot. That's just national media talk for clicks.

Really like Butch and hope he succeeds. Last year shook my belief in him a bit, though. Particularly the Vandy loss, where he had a chance to finally "achieve" something and blew it to a team that shouldn't have gone bowling. Hope it was an anomaly due to injuries and S&C.

That said, even if he doesn't make it here, the program should be on stable enough ground that Currie could go out and actually poach a proven guy like Arkansas did with Bielema.

Granted, Bert isn't doing that hot in Fayetteville, but if Jeff Long could make that hire, I know Currie could get some big names interested in coming to Knoxville with a stable roster and a team culture that isn't completely toxic.

I know we lose talent but the coaching/locker room/ new system... whatever it was, needs corrected and now.
Every non nega has been patient and understanding. Time to prove there was a reason.

On paper I think Tennessee should be favored to win 9 games next year. I honestly kind of assume that we'll lose one that we shouldn't so that'd put us at 8-4. Anything less than 8 regular season wins for Butch next year and I could see him being let go.

For me, likely losses
Bama - just cause.
LSU - nothing impressive coaching but so much talent.
UF/UGA - either or, any given weekend.

But I expect to beat those we should and 1 of the above. Don't want to just trade a good win for a horrible loss elsewhere.
