Not to take this OT, but what are your thoughts on Terry Fair if he were to rejoin the staff in the next year or two? Is he someone who IYO would/could be a big-time recruiter?

Not sure about him as a recruiter but he can talk with the best of them. The biggest impact would be on the Dbs and their techniques and play. Since he left every Db has regressed IMO including Sutton last yr. This is what I based my opinion on his draft status last yr. He's definitely a much needed addition to this staff. Also they have to get a Qb coach, I heard a quote on XM sports that UT is the only Power 5 school w/o a qb coach.

I did not even realize that. :eek:hmy: I wonder what my man Peyton is wanting to do these days? I think it's too early for him to want to come & coach our QB's but he did mention it as a possibility down the road last year.

I think it's down the road long enough Peyton. :wink: Jump aboard the Orange Express & let's get these QB's playing like they are capable of playing.

Good stuff. I agree completely on the regression of the DB's and the lack of a QB coach. It's amazing how we haven't been able to close to deal on '18 QB's that we were seemingly leading for. We need better recruiters on the staff, period.

In an interview by a scout from Rivals Litaker was asked where things stood in his recruitment? Litaker told the reporter "if it was NSD 2018 & he had to make a decision that day he would be a Georgia Bulldog but the Tennessee Vols wouldn't be far behind though. He said fortunately it's not NSD 2018 & he still has more time to decide on his future." The reporter asked if there was any other schools still on his radar besides Georgia & UT & Litaker replied by "saying definitely so."

"Those are my main two schools at this time but in two years things can change. He said there could be coaching changes. There could be other things out of my control that might affect where I end up deciding where I want to go. Memphis is one school that has been pushing awful hard lately so I can say they are showing they really want me & are not out of it either."

He's getting a pass because it's just year one, but when Kirby disappoints again next year, recruits will snap out of it.
