'18 CA QB Adrian Martinez

The Vols could also be in for a real fight for their two quarterback commits right now. Adrian Martinez changed his schedule and is actually taking an OV to Nebraska this weekend. The Cornhuskers have become a real player for the 4-star quarterback, especially after Scott Frost and the OC called Martinez mere hours afters accepting the new job. Martinez was visited by Nebraska's staff earlier this week and the Cornhuskers (and possibly Ohio State) remain real threats to Tennessee. While as USC, Helton never showed much interest in Martinez so it will be interesting to see how aggressive UT tries to keep Martinez in the fold.

New VIP article on GoVol247 says Pruitt reached out to him. Anyone got access?

A few tidbits.

"He just wanted to reassure me that I’m wanted at Tennessee, and he understands my situation and he’s looking forward to talking more in the future," said Martinez, who's ranked the No. 142 overall prospect and No. 8 dual-threat quarterback in the 247Sports Composite for the 2018 class.

New Nebraska coach Scott Frost's staff wasted little time extending an offer to Martinez on Sunday, and Martinez quickly decided to visit Nebraska this weekend rather than traveling to Missouri. He also went on an official visit to Ohio State last month, although he hasn't received an offer from the Buckeyes, and he went on an unofficial visit to nearby Fresno State on Nov. 25.

Martinez is planning to make his final decision in time to sign with the school of his choice during the new early signing period on Dec. 20-22, and he plans to enroll in January.
