'18 CA QB Adrian Martinez

Caught, killed, and mounted.
Coach Mc grins and bares it.
His teeth may not be white, but his arse sure is. :good!:

"I think Tennessee is in good shape with Martinez. There's a chance he could do something this week."

Callahan speak for it's happening

Those "experts" that CB'd OK when they offered kind of look like jackasses now IMO...along with everyone here that freaked out about it

90% of them just piggy-back with their CB's. It's pretty obvious most of them don't have a clue about what is going on. A really bad look for 247 IMO.

How funny would it be if he strung us along like this for weeks, and he ends up never supplanting Penix.

Where in the heck did this "he strung us along for weeks" idea come from? All I've heard from every reputable source since Martinez visited a couple of weeks ago, is he was going to take a couple of weeks to figure out what he was going to do. That is what he has done.

With Sheirion out of the equation, and 3 unknowns in Dormady, Guarantano, and McBride, just landing two guys like Penix and Martinez create a situation that it won't matter who wins the job down the line. It's just important that the competition creates a winning situation for UT.

I think we're pretty good as it stands right now, but I think if Dormady has a really good season he could even declare for the draft. I mean if Mitch freaking Trubisky can get drafted #2 overall after one year of production, Dormady with a consistent season in the SEC and his prototypical measurables could make him one of those 2018 draft darling QBs.

That's a big "if" obviously, but if that happens you definitely want to be prepared to have Guarantano, McBride, Penix, and hopefully Martinez waiting in the wings to lead the program over the next few years. So much can happen with transferring, coaching changes, and injury that recruiting quality QBs should never cease.
