ELIJAH CONLIFFE
Defensive tackle
6-4, 305 pounds
Hampton (Va.) High School
Conliffe, a four-star prospect, has been one of Tennessees top defensive-tackle targets for months, and while he hasnt been to Knoxville recently, hes planning to visit the Vols again this month before deciding on a school. Tennessee quietly seems to have positioned itself to be a legitimate contender for Conliffe. Alabama once was believed to be the team to beat for him, but the Crimson Tide now might not have a spot for him if theyre able to land everyone they want. Conliffe has discussed visiting both Tennessee and Alabama this month, and Penn State already has hosted him on an official visit.
I think LaBryan Ray and Aubrey Solomon are higher on Bama's board. Hard to tell where Conliffe is versus the other DLs (Jarez Parks, Phidarian Mathis) that Bama is recruiting. Parks is more suited to the hybrid DE/OLB "Jack" position, but sometimes those recruits "grow" into DEs.Where is he on balas board last interview said Bama is favorite. I guess there using him as dt. I haven't seen his film is he space eater or someone would flourish in our system better than bama
-Per ESPN InsiderConliffe recently at a camp game was asked if he was ready to make a decision on where he wants to go to college. Conliffe replied to the reporter from ESPN by saying "not yet, I've still got visits to take." The reporter asked if he had a lists of favorite schools & Conliffe replied "yes sir I do & I will share those with you. The 6 top schools in no order right now before I make more visits are Florida, Bama, Penn State, UT, Ole Miss, & Miami."
DT Elijah Conliffe
Hampton (Va.) defensive tackle Elijah Conliffe is a new name on Floridas board. Tennessee is the school getting most of the buzz now, but the Gators certainly could make a move with the 6-foot-4, 305-pound prospect having a desire to play in the South. At last check, Conliffe still did not have his January visit plans laid out, but the Vols and Gators are good bets to get him on campus.
Prediction: Tennessee
